Mike mentioned Ron & Fez a couple of times this week. All good things were said. The new show is great.

I haven't had a chance to hear a lot of Mike's show but from what I heard, they plan to do a lot more crossover stuff with the other WJFK shows. That would have been sweet if R&F were still there since Fez always killed when he came on Don and Mike.

One of my coworkers said he heard something on WJFK this afternoon. He can't remember what show it was, but since it's Sunday, it was probably a best of from last week. He doesn't remember the exact words, but it was something to the effect of, "Ron & Fez only have three listeners left".

Anyone know anything about this? It might be time for the Whatley Posse to mobilize!

Podcast is available through the WJFK website and maybe iTunes. It could of been taken out of context. I don't know why Mike would bash R&F.

It definitely wasn't Mike. But he can't remember the name of the show that said it. He said the show was annoying, so he didn't stay tuned in very long.

Probably the Junkies.

Or Big O and Dukes. They're pretty "hurting" as well.

Definetly not the Junkies, i listen to their show everyday and all they do with Ron and Fez is play the Fez "donkey, crazy donkey" drop and the Ron "that is a show" drop. And i seriously doubt it was Big O & Dukes because they love O&A and the shows they associate with. And the Junkies FM morning show is better then the O&A free morning show

I always took the Fez drop as more of a mocking thing than a display of friendship or respect. It seemed they played it more because it souned "gay" than anything else. They also were never shy about taking veiled shots at R&F, as if the show barely had any listeners and had been tanking since the boys left WJFK.

I think at times its tounge in cheek when the say those things and might be semi-shots at them, but i dont think the donkey drop by fez is meant to be that way

And i remember last year that they did a simulcast with O&A before the travelling virus tour hit DC and the Junkies were very complimentary about O&A and R&F and the good job they are doing on satelitte. And the shows the Junkies and O&A often share comics as Vos has been on the Junkies alot and they have also had Patrice in the studio for entire shows.

Plus i think they all have the same agent (not sure if R&F have bob eatman or not)

Chad Dukes said it. It wasn't a best of, though, it was some show Dukes and their producer during the weekday show, Drab T-Shirt, were doing on Sunday called the "Snack and Soda Show." Snack = Chad Dukes, Soda = Drab T.

I wasn't paying a lot of attention until I heard Dukes' response to some guy who called in, I think the caller said something about not liking the "Midday show on WJFK," and Dukes asked him what he did listen to, and the guy said Ron & Fez and Opie & Anthony. Then Dukes said something like, "Yeah, you and 10 other people." He made a couple of other snide comments over the next few minutes about Ron & Fez and satellite radio in general.
