A return to DC?

Now, JFK PD Chris Kinard has got to turn his attention to evenings. The syndicated Jim Rome ain't working. A return of El Jefe and J-Dubs or Ron and Fez would be most welcome.

WJFK has been turning things around ratings wise and i think everyone knew that Jim..............................................R ome wouldnt work, so maybe they get R&F back in DC on delay

How would that work? If we're talking about the 12-3 slot, the only way I can see that working is simulcasting the XM show, and the way Ronnie loves to throw the word "fuck" around, it's going to be dumped out of so much you couldn't understand it at all.

Not to mention what happens if Fucktwat The Clown shows up. :lol:

its not for that slot if they did it would be a 7-10 at night slot

The way the lineup is now at WJFK they have 3 local and live shows there that flow into each other

Junkies from 6-10
O&Dukes from 10-3
Mike O'Meara from 3-7

The shows are frequently interacting with each other and O & Dukes have done really well in that slot and are actually getting better ratings then O&A got in teh same slot

With a 7-10 slot for R&F it would do really well in DC i think as they have a big following in DC still

Yeah, since simulcasting an evening show would fuck up the XM schedule (as wonderful as it is) that pretty much means they would have to go back to DC to do a show out of JFK so fuck that, don't get your hopes up.

They wouldn't have to go back...they could do the show from the studios in New York.

Is it too late to offer the Hideout a nightly show? Jefe and Dubs already have fulltime positions working at WWBA and WHBO here in Tampa.

Jefe is the PD of the two and hosts 2 shows and Dubs works behind the scenes and co-hosts a weekly sports show.

I'd love more Hideout, but it seems like it'll be too much work for the guys.

Whenever Ron or Fez bring up the timeline of Fez's issues...they always go back to it getting bad when they moved for JFK..I cant imagine Fez moving back down there, unless he is moving to FL

I can't even see a Florida move at this point either since many of Fez's issues seem to have some family ties. I think NY is the perfect home base for them. Syndication can originate anywhere in the country nowadays. I don't see the boys leaving NY again.

People can say what they want about the DC era, but when R&F did the "Fastest Hour..." on WJFK, it was some of the best radio they ever did.

Absolutely. I sometimes laughed more in one hour than I did over the course of three. It really highlighted both Ron's AND Fez's ability to come up quickly with great lines.

Maybe they could "phone in" their show to DC - still live and work in NYC but broadcast to DC via ISDN or something. I can't see them moving back there, simply because I don't think Fez would do it.

I know it is all unfounded speculation, but they did 2 shows before, why not do it again? The technology is there to make it happen.

I had to learn from this post that Don Geronimo was leaving the D&M show. I left Arlington VA a year ago and never looked back. Wonder how that show will work without Don. :blink:

I think a simulcast would require a new contract for R&F, the FreeFM stuff wasn't simulcast because it required this (I think, I sort of remember Logan addressing this on the air once).

thanks for POINTING THAT OUT but I didn't claim that they would be, only that if it were to somehow happen it might require a whole new contract since that was was I remember being mentioned during the FreeFM gig.
