the buddays just said fez was checkin in on saturday, so i just wanted to say fezzy, dont worry so much, go in, get better, and come back to us in good shape. ive been in one of these places once when i was a teenager and it really was like a summer camp. it was way funner than i thought it would be. and they will fix you up and you will start to feel better, so relax and have fun!

Hey Fez, you had it right today when you said something about just giving in to it and going. You are far from the kind of crazy that would cause them to lock you up. The staff are professionals and they will do the right things for you.

I haven't heard today's show, but basically, Fez has decided to check into a mental health facility starting as soon as the last show before vacation ends. Since he's said that will be after Friday's show, I assume they will be on vacation next week. Then again, I may have missed something.

I thought the same thing. I'm hoping that the staff at the facility can adjust to someone who isn't as serious as other patients.

Fez's situation reminds me a lot of my sister's. She developed a long list of fears and became seriously agoraphobic. Fez's situation is not as serious as hers but there are similarities. She went to see a cognitive therapist and it did wonders. They figured out that she had never properly dealt with grief over a death years before. The therapist worked with the roots of each of her fears and she is doing extremely well now.

It sounds like the Fez's facility is top quality and they will be able to develop a suitable treatment.

I know that Fez was worried that they would force him to stay against his will. That's not possible, is it? The only way he would stay longer than a week would be if he feels that he needs more time, right? If he does choose to stay, I hope the best for him. It would suck to have him away from the show. Of course, getting him well is by far the most important thing.
I thought saying goodbye to him at the end of show today was very moving. He is such a great, talented guy and I hope the best for him. Maybe this week can set him on a strong path and then he can join us again on air and continue with his therapy or whatever he needs.

I did a short stint in one of the type hospitals. Why I was there is a little too personal, but I didnt want to post this until Fez actually got into the place. First let me say its fantastic that Fez took the initiative to check in. This will REALLY help get him on track. They will be able to care over him while they figure out the right meds and the right activities that will put Fezzie of track. So GOOD FOR YOU FEZ MARIE!

Now the bad side...Well this is most definitely not in Fezzies case because he's got the money to put himself into a nice hospital BUT I dont. So I was in a place with real loonies. There was a guy that would pull his hair out and eat it. There were maniacs that were too mentally unstable to be in prison, and then there were the few people like myself that just needed some close attention to get use back on track. OF COURSE, I had to share my room with one of the mentally unstable people that should have been in prison. This guy was an enormous black man that was not only bi polar but he had terrets. The first night I was there he threatened to kill me and a few of the staff who then had to wrestle, sedate, and strap the man into bed. Not a fun welcome to a scarry place. They didnt have another bed for me so until they moved the patient to a more secure part of the hospital (3 days later) I voluntarily slept in the "rubber room" on the floor.

Good luck Fezzie and dont come back to us UNTIL you are better. Your health is more important!
