put < and > in place of the [ and ]

I think the adverse reaction to your post was in regards to how incredibly pointless it was. The purpose of the message board is for people to share thier thoughts, not waste thier time looking for secret messages that match the background color. It's a waste of time, and it confuses the less technical members of this board. Besides, most people really have nothing to say that would warrant spending the precious minutes of the day searching for. Moreover, what do you think was going to happen when people read your post? A sudden wave of people hiding thier posts, waiting with glee for others to discover thier "secret messages"? If I may quote a great man, "think before you write".

And stop defending what everyone else obviously considers to be a ridiculous and totally unnecessary observation.

I'm not going to apologize for posting this, because I thought it was something someone might consider interesting. It should have been posted in off topic, which is a mistake I make often.

But I will say sorry to carter and whoever else I have offended (except for dumpy and moshintoslipknot).

I go wild when I'm on messageboards and I come off as a total jerk.

I will be a lesser presence on this board, but I will post threads which I feel are relevant.
