The joke seems to be how ridiculous black face is, especially when gone to such lengths.

I like the part where Ben Stiller gets attacked by an animal, and he screams a lot, and he flails about with the animal attached to him.

AAAnd the part where the weird looking guy dances to rap at the end.
I did like that song though.

it took me a good hour to realize who the big boss producer was.

I actually thought it was Bob Odenkirk for a bit.

There were only a few laugh out loud moments, I wouldnt recommend wasting $$ on it, but definitely see it on netflix or cable.

It will be another Stiller "classic" like Zoolander.

Downey was very good though, at being the dude playin a dude, dressed like another dude.

either too little comedy or too little action. its like they couldnt decide if it was going to be funny or action packed and in the end they picked blandness

the music was fantastic though! Even the 21st century stuff.

But again, not worth seeing til its out on cable or whatevah.

Sounds like I'm the only one that really liked it. I'm sure smoking before it didn't hurt. Me and my husband loved it, he wasn't offended by Downey, Jr at all. He thought it was the best part.

Zoolander is one of my favorites...but not a big fan of most other Stiller stuff though.

Best part of the movie was Jack Black tied to a tree. Some hysterical lines there.

not all stiller movies are cinematic masterpieces but they are great in their element of being what they are suppossed to be

stupid bordering on ridiculous comedies

I saw this last night and thought it was pretty damn funny. Downey was hysterical and Nick Nolte had a really good part as well. It's a great satire of the Vietnam-related war movies as well as Hollywood in general. Downey's character was a parody of Russell Crowe and Jack Black was probably based in part on Chris Farley. I have to give Stiller credit for making the concept work and getting as many stars to appear in it as he did.

But I would definitely pick up both movies on DVD once they are released.

just finished watching it thanks to the awesome dvd vending machine in my supermarket. i thought it was great. i was laughing my ass off from the opening mock preview. stiller was mostly stiller, but everyone else was really good, really funny. tom cruise finally made a movie that i don't hate him in. i don't really see the problem that people were talking about where they think stiller couldn't decide if he wanted to make an action movie or a comedy. i thought it all came together really well. personally, i loved it.

maybe you weren't watching the movie correctly...

were you looking AT the tv screen?
were your EYES open?
did you put in a Tropic Thunder dvd, and not a less funny dvd on the bombings of Nagasaki and Hiroshima?
do you know what laughter is?

these are questions some must answer, when watching this great movie and not laughing...

Yeah, his movies stink, and TT was no exception, but it actually made me remember how much ass he kicks when doing sketch comedy. The only thing worse than that was his "Withdrawl", where he was on the ground doing noises and silly fingers.

I though RDJ was legitimately funny. Steve Coogans awkwardness was good for a couple of laughs, and Stiller was........Stiller. You know, just kind of funny.

Perhaps there are two kinds of people in this world.
Just like there are Arrested Development people and there are Everybody Loves Raymond people, I guess there are The Kids in the Hall people and there are The State people.

There is an error in your formula. Raymond cannot be listed among those shows.

The series is much different from the stage show and, IMO, much better. If you do give it a shot, the first episode, as with most series, is by far the weakest, but from there it just goes insane and amazing.

Hello. EXACTLY!

That occurred to me too but I didn't have the balls to admit that I was somewhat confused by the plot.

Along those same lines:
I also don't understand why Satan appears at the end of The Tenacious D movie (The Pick Of Destiny). It's never really explained but the audience just accepts it.

I saw a test screening, so they might have changed it, but didn't they use the footage that they did got (and really, there's absolutely no way logistically they could have gotten most of the footage of what happened to them), as a documentary. If that's the case, how can you win best actor for appearing in a documentary?

didnt the director put all kinds of cameras throughout the forest and what not to capture them more realistic or something like that he said

Footage from the hidden cameras is compiled into a feature film, Tropic Blunder, which ends up becoming a major critical and box office hit and a multiple-Academy Award winner. The film breaks Speedman's streak of flops and he wins Best Actor

Normally this would piss me off. The Big Brother Video Pollice could not get this suckfest off of my hard drive fast enough. $3.99 and 2 hrs of my life I will never get back. Awful.

On another potential suckfest:

Zoolander 2 (http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/showbiz/film/article1992415.ece)

I'd be down with Zoolander 2 if it has the same humor as the first..

DirecTV PPV has this new thing where they go in and automatically erase your PPV "Rental" recording after 24 hrs. This must be a new feature, although I do not PPV vey much as a habit. For those of you who own the dvd, go to SPECIAL FEATURES and click on "PSA from Dreamworks".

It's the most insincere thing I've seen in a while. A montage of children and adults with various mental & developmental disorders.... and lots of "they're just like us" captions running at the bottom.

It feels reeeeally forced.

Oh come on! Ya gotta love THE CABLE GUY. He directed it brilliantly. And... Zoolander is f'ing funny.

I've finally realized that Zoolander is the ONLY Ben Stiller character that I like. If somebody else had directed and played his part, I truly think the film would have been 100x more enjoyable.

It definitely took me an extra beat to figure out that it wasn't a spoof.

I don't care what anyone says. That PSA was fucking retarded.

I am actually excited at the prospect of a second Zoolander, I would definitely watch that. I just hope he's behind it and they make an appropriately crazy storyline to make it fun.

Truth.
If the plot revolves around his little kid, I'm out.

The wacky kiddie plots always ruin it.
Shia Lebeof... I'm lookin' in your direction.

Besides... adults that have kids wanna get away from that shit. And adults that don't have kids could not care any less about those zany story lines & goofery.
