I just came back from a screening of "Poultrygeist - Night of the Chicken Dead" with a following Q&A with Troma Founder and Director Lloyd Kaufman and the cast and crew. Its currently playing at Village East Cinema, 12th St & 2nd Ave, NY
This movie was great. Pure top notch Troma-tainment. It started out a little slow, but once the blood starts flowing its classic.
Whats bothering me now, though, is I'm telling you this movie is awesome, and no one in the NY area is going to see it..and thats such a shame
This movie cost $450,000 to make and completely independently financed and distributed. No one will see it. But you will all spend pages discussing "Speed Racer" or "Indiana Jones 4" or whatever $100million budget piece of shit because thats what hollywood is feeding you. Alot of you will see movies like this, knowing it sucks, because you feel like you have to see it.
But I plead, go see "Poultrygeist". Atleast its something different. Atleast your money is going to somewhere besides big billion dollar movie studios. Atleast your supporting a film that doesn't get support anywhere else.
"Poultrygeist" is an hilarious, exhilarating, different and special movie experience and i hope anyone that can go does.
Once again, its playing at Village East Cinema, 12th St & 2nd Ave, NY
