Your kid is not a gifted uber-being, your kid just might be smart....its not that shocking.....and if you took time to actually raise the kid instead of worrying about (___insert applicable nonsense here___), it wouldnt suprise you when he says something, well, that a child says.

People just need to feel like their kids are special. This "indigo child" thing is taking the parental wish-fulfillment to the nth degree ... "my kid is so bright, they must be a 'new breed' ... and they're gonna change the world." (Not necessarily. Most parents think their child is the best/smartest kid in the world ... especially first-time parents with no other experience with children. And dirty hippies.)

I haven't seen enough on this to say I fully believe but from what I have seen these children seem incredible. I would like to believe in the possibility that these children are a beginning of a greater awakening. Somehow they are tapped into a greater knowledge we can all be privy to.

Franklyn, while i share your hope for the progress of humanity, i dont think that a kid who shits his pants and finger paints a portrait of his dog is necessarily a divine being.

My fiance is a teacher in brooklyn and one of her students is at risk of being left back in first grade...in response to this, the students father calls the principal selling this crap about Indigo Children.

My lady has had some very bright, intuitive children, no doubt.
But so was i. So is my niece.

Are there children that are born super geniuses? No doubt. But i assure you there are more "indigo children" out there than there are geniuses.

It's a nice idea, but most of the folks who buy into it are so New Agey and pathetic it's hard to take it seriously.
