I think stuff like this is just that macabre impulse that we all have (maybe it's mostly us males, I don't know). You know, that almost sub-concious urge you had as a kid to crank your handlebars all the way the the right while hauling ass down the road. Or when you're talking to a very good friend of yours and you wonder what would happen if you punched him right in the mush for no reason. Or saying something blatantly uncomfortable and disgustingly true at Thanksgiving.

I wonder if these politicians get so stressed out by their constant facade of robotic perfection that the true self is overcome by the Duende and these things just belch forth for all of us to squirmingly enjoy. The panicked instant when they realize what they have just done is priceless.
