Maybe. Maybe not.

"One thing it's important to note is that crystal quartz is the same material used in microchips that can hold billions of bits of info. Given that, imagine the amount of info a whole skull can hold..."

Really? Yes, of course the skulls have been filled with ancient info via.... Fuck, she is a silly lady.:wallbash:

You guys obviously know nothing about alien technology......the big problem top scientists are having is trying to find the plug-in port thingie.....

I love that song. But I can't remember, was it on Graceland or Still Crazy After All These Years?

I thought that when you put two together you unleashed a super weapon...but you need the third one to control it?

Well I have seen the movie...and all I'll say is.....you need 13 skulls to get real results.

Well I have seen the movie...and all I'll say is.....you need 13 skulls to get real results.that doesn't sound promising as far as reviews go...but I'll still go see it. I love me some Indy.

Check out this very interesting (but longish) article in Archeology Magazine about the Crystal Skulls. Most credible archaeologists now believe they all are 19th century European hoaxes. Something to entice the Side Show visitors.

I watched that Sci-Fi Channel special last night. Two hours of "there might be one on the top of this mountain", "there might be one under water here", "there might be one in this cave". They never found another one.

Supposedly, these advanced civilizations in the long-ago past (maybe Atlantis) made these 13 Crystal Skulls and scattered them to be found when Earth needed them to not be destroyed. There are 8 "authentic" ones found. OK, so if this is true, why don't they look the same? Why do they look totally different in style and material?

I think these people are true believers but maybe, just maybe, it's a myth.

i caught this show last nite and must agree, it was kinda up in the air....watching these clowns walk around praying to the skull was actually pretty funny. Interesting idea, though.....maybe thise 2012 thing may happen after all.

i missed it sunday (watching the mets destroy the yankees ). is it worth watching online or in a replay? i'm not the 'believer' type, but was the show at least entertaining/intriguing, or was it just a 2-hour commercial for the new Indy movie?

http://www.archaeology.org/0805/etc/indy.htmlThey had a segment on NPR about it today..the two they had were proven to be fakes made after the time of the aztecs due to the tool markings.
Most are attributed to a French Trader in the mid to late 1800's who made up stories about them being "mystic relics"in order to unload them.

If you know nothing about this subject, give it a shot. You'll learn the mythology and about the guy that found the first one in the 1920's with his daughter.

It mentions the Indiana Jones movie in passing but that's all.

it's not worth watching. i really wanted to see it & then fell asleep about a half hour in. it was incredibly incredibly boring. i think the part where the well educated professor of something or other said that he believes the skulls were alien put me over the edge.

I watched that special the other night. It was very interesting. I tend to lean towards the Alien theory though.

all joking aside...this being on the sci-fi channel, I didn't expect a fair and balanced report.....
but most of the skulls are thought to be forgeries.....
but.....that doesn't mean there aren't alien skulls out there.
I'm not saying anymore.....
as far as my own private collection.
