My mom used to put 15 year old candy canes on our tree. I would laugh my ass off when my friends would come over and eat them. They would break into pieces as they opened the wraper.

I don't have one specific excellent holiday story, and I know it's lame, but I just want to say that every minute I get to spend with those I love during the holidays is the best to me.
