I was like Dave I never thought I was GenX either (1978)
I consider myself the last person of Generation X. I am the youngest of 4 children, I sorta grew up with their culture instead of my own. I look around at people my age and younger and don't see much culturally in common with them.

I don't dispute that most of this was developed by X, but it was embraced and became part of our culture through the usage of Y.
You can say it, but it sounds like a lot of crap.
Check who first embraced Napster, who embraced Instant Feedback for O&A. Of all the people I know who are Radiohead fans and d/l their mp3s, none were under 30.

Pretty sure you're a guy, so don't worry bout it.
I don't agree on the SHG, though.
Someone else compared SHG to the Backstreet Boys. A better comparison would be Vanilla Ice. You may not like his music (and I personally think it doesn't have any real integrity), but he paved the way for rap in a big way.

The discussion was who invented rap (i.e. what generation), I believe, and SHG had no part in inventing the medium, who popularized it is another discussion entirely.

I used to be friends with someone who worked at PNCT, got 2 front row seats for my Dad to Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire for $250.
I'd go to see Earth and Wind. Fuck Fire.

I paid 278$ for Bonnaroo this year, but thats like 60 bands.
bro, enjoy bonaroo....i tried to get a caravan of misfits to take the road trip out there, but of course, they all bailed....something about being married, and kids or something........nonsense, really.
If you havent seen pearl jam (regardless if you are a fan or not) be sure to check them out.....intense live show.

I'm in the same boat. I really wanted to go to Bonaroo but I couldn't get enough of my friends to agree. Something about heat and tents and hippies turned them off.

I'll def check out pearl jam. I saw them in 02, and really dug the show. Want to see BB king, death cab, my morning jacket, raconteurs amongst others. the comedy sounds pretty solid too. If you make it down to manchester, let me know.
