Why does the replay schedule suck ass during the work week. Anyone with a regular job is out of luck when it comes to hearing the boys during the week. I've had it with the only replay being at midnight. How about one at 6 and then just the xm side of o and a. What can we do to change this? a petition maybe? im ready to take action. I'm sure this has been brought up many times but lets all get together and do something about it. I think this is my first ever post on here but ive been listening to the guys for a few years now on xm and i come here to read stuff and look at pics. please help!!

Do what I do, record all the shows. I use old VHS tapes and set the VCR deck to record them on HiFi audio. One tape will hold two shows. I listen to whatever I want to well before midnight and then I can tape over them again. (And I can FF through Ron's smoke breaks.)
Noon to 3pm is everyone's busiest time and even though I work mostly from my home I still miss a good portion of the shows with phone calls and such.

This ties into the other thread perfectly...I can listen to XM online, but damn, between work and school, this replay schedule is a dog's ass.

listen when you want and skip all the commercials. its only portable when it isn't live/recording, but you can get a car kit to take it with too.
the units were free with rebate, look here:

A lot of people e-mailed Eric Logan when the replay schedule was announced, but as far as I know, no one got a response.

Pushy.
Just do what I do. Find a kind-of-legal immigrant and pay him to sit and transcribe the show every day while I earn a living. Homeless people work, too.
Then I sit home at night and laugh and laugh.

i realize that i could use audible or the xm recorder or an illegal immigrant, but the point is that the schedule blows. who thinks that 9 hours of o and a between 3 and midnight isnt fucking retarded. if we all just keep looking for ways around this then its never going to change. i say we start some kind of petition and get the word out. maybe it will get brought up on the air. doubtful though, wouldnt wanna piss off opie (tool).

If you're having trouble downloading, make sure that Windows Firewall is allowing the Audible Download Manager. Click on "Help" on the error message, and you'll get instructions on what to do.

No, it's an Audible problem, Knox, because I'm on a Mac, and trying to download with ITunes, or through a browser.
When you go to the Audible website, friday's show isn't even listed as available for download.
Were you able to get that show? 5/23?
as of this morning it's still not available in my library, it's not a major problem with them, i've only missed one show (o & a) in two years of using them, once when i contacted audible about a late show (same thing a friday show not available until monday) they stated it was an xm issue

Oh, OK, I don't have 5/23's show. I misunderstood. I did have an issue where it was crashing at the "Preparing file for download" step, and that was Windows Firewall's issue.

I checked an, ah, "unofficial" download site for shows, and Friday's show is indeed there.
It's hard for me to keep telling people "You should pay $30 to download this show" when the official, sanctioned download source can't get their shit together.

the best is a line in mp3 like a zen or lyra or a mi-fi :nono: Does anyone know if htg was ever on a documentary called the joy of lex, I thought I saw her ask about a word in a fake contest.

Yea, this has been brought up before. I was extremely pissed about it. In fact, a You're The Man Now Dog was made about my displeasure in their timeslot.
Emo DMM (http://emodmm.ytmnd.com/)
I was pissed that O&A got so much replay time and Ron and Fez basically got the shaft. My feelings haven't changed, just dulled them over time.
What has really happened is that I am now almost completely out of the Ron and Fez loop. I catch a few minutes of that day's replay if I happen to be up after midnight and I catch an hour on the weekends if I am driving during a Ron and Fez time.
I bought a MyFi but find it a complete hassle to use. I just don't use my radio, I use my computer to listen to XM. So sure, I could leave my comp on all day and time a recording but I don't leave my comp on when I'm not here.
It's all just way more of a hassle than it should be, Ron and Fez have 2 of the shittiest spots on 202 and everytime I get reminded of it I just feel beaten. I've had my favorite radio show taken away from me for the most part.

I'm glad you know what I'm getting at DMM. I leave for work at 6:30 and leave work to go home at 3:30, so not only do I hear O&A both trips, but I get to hear the same fucking segment. And of course I'm in bed before midnight. Usually I'm lucky enough to catch the show some on weekends. I already pay for XM, it seems retarded to pay audible also. Again, something needs to be done. So far it's O&A 18hours, R&F 6hours.

This is exactly what I use, spits out an mp3 for you to listen to at your leasure, records for me automatically while I'm at work. I'm sure audible works for some people, but I like having the control and I've already paid for the show once w/ my XM subsciption.

I pay too much money for 5 units to go and download my Ron and Fez, I think they should be accessible whenever I want them. I'd sooner listen to potus 08 than download Ron and Fez.

I totally feel what you're saying floppyjoe. We understand it's O&A's channel, but Ron and Fez deserve better.
And yea, catching the same part of the show both ways to work sucks ass too, I totally know what you mean. I stopped bringing my Myfi in the car on work days for that reason, no need to hear that CBS segment again.
And I don't even hate O&A, that's the shitty part. I LOVE O&A and having XM has made me love them even more than when they were on WNEW. Just want to make sure people know we're not dumping on O&A here, we just want our R&F at better times.

one word....earl.
That's not really identifying the problem, That is only putting the blame on someone to appease the masses.
Even when Earl submits his resignation for the Ron Wood failure, there will be no fair air time for the show.
It goes much deeper than Earl, Maaaan; deeper than any of us want to go.....
