He's not the only one who has observed the change. Earl Douglass, executive director of the Black Rock Coalition, says that growing up in the '80s as a black kid listening to the Stones was "excruciatingly alienating. My friends, who listened to hip hop, didn't understand or didn't want to understand," he says. "Now, a lot of those walls are being torn down. Black kids listen to everything." from everything ive seen/heard about Earl, I think him listening to the Rolling Stones was the least of his problems as far as the alienation he felt from other people

How fitting that there is that extra "s" at the end of Earl's name.

Only when Ron pronounces it, he does it with 3 or 4 s's

The quotes are obviously made up. They don't start with "No, but..."

I wish I could get my hands on a full transcript of the interview to see if Earl did indeed mention Ron and Fez "multiple times."

I know it sounds crazy, but I think he's lying.

All Earl likes is that there is a man in a wedding dress in that picture.

I didn't know Earl skipped the hospital during JEM's birth. Good friend.

This kind of thing always seems racist to me. Is the article basically saying "Wow, not all black people listen to rap, this is so unusual, it deserves an article"?

The BRO should shut the hell up, and let people listen to what they want to listen to.

Should be called "Black Drop Organization".

The quote was nice but you can't get a feel for the stuttering, the pausing,
and the basic lack of communication skills.........Earl, the whitest black man
in all of radio.

I went to a limp bizkit concert years ago with Cyprus Hill opening. Tons of black kids showed up for cyprus hill and left right after cyprus hill were done with their set. Ironically, Cyprus Hill were doing their best to sound like Limp Bizkit. They had a white guitar player jamming over every song trying to make it sound like rock.
