Actually, this site has been largely pro-Dave for a while. If he starts winning the hearts and minds of a certain other board, that will be progress.

I think my "hatred" for him is something I can live with and it will actually add to my enjoyment of the show. That doesn't mean I want Ron to go easy on him.

I think a lot of it is an acceptance of how the show is now. A lot if the resentment of him that I saw seemed to stem from the notion that he was stealing mic time from Fezzie. Maybe it's clearer now that Fezzie's non-participation in the show has nothing to do with ESD, and someone's gotta step in.

I always thought dave had a lot of love and support here. people loved him when he posted and I think most members were generally happy for him when he got the job.

I can see Dave not necessarily being 100% likeable by everyone, but he is certainly un-hateable. He has a good heart and it shows.

yeah, his heart is in the right place, i just find his child like adoration of Ron a little funny...like when ron says something and you hear dave gasping in the background "oh wowwww" etc...

and it seems completely earnest, so he is honestly a nut.

The show was so much better without him over the last 2 days. Lilly is a much better on-air personality. Dave is a sophomoric man-child that tries way too hard to be funny.

I think what turned people around on Dave was his character arc. At the start of 2007 he was at a low point. His ass was burned with hot sauce, his long term relationship was over and he was out of a job and replaced by a masked cowboy. Then he fought back, took back his job, fell in love with another girl, got married and had a kid. It's like Rocky.
