Meaning of the folder icons to the left of the thread topic

quick question for the mods:

what are the meanings of the various folder icons that appear to the left of the thread topics? specifically, i've noticed that many of the threads i've posted in have a red folder, others have a pale-pink folder, and others have a folder with a green arrow.

is there sort of FAQ for the icons?

The red folder means there are unread posts after your last post. Also, hold your cursor over it, and it will tell you how many posts you have in that thread.

i had never even given the folders a second thought until this thread.
and i am not ashamed to admit i just got a little giddy while running my cursor over those crazy pink folders!

Please correct me if I'm wrong:

Plain Folder - you've read the thread and no new posts

Folder with a letter poking out - new thread with unread posts

Folder with a "+" - thread you've read with new posts

Folder with an arrow - thread you've posted in

Folder with pink or red - thread you've posted in and the color represents the "hotness" or popularity
