You know what though, it's not even that.
The presence of safety professionals does tend to increase the awareness of the workers, but this shit that is going on could, and should be prevented by knowledgeable and trained supervisors to oversee the work and instruct and educate the workers.

That's why I'm wondering if the state even has an apprenticeship program in place. I work HSE for the largest crane company in the world, our supervisors are fucking excellent, our operators that we put on the crawlers and larger AT's are smart men. They know the procedures for erecting a crane and changing configurations, they know what is going on. And as knowledgeable as they are, they still can't do anything along the lines of an erecting or configuration change until a supervisor is present, has verified the work plan, and okays the workers to proceed. But they're always there to oversee and instruct the work.

This many incidents is fucking ridiculous.

Here's what the state can do...

Have the city inspector charged and have the city construction manager resign.

That will fix the problem!!!

Take the time to get the experienced, knowledgeable personnel in the supervisory positions, stop trying to get this shit built overnight to save a dollar.

One construction death in America, with ZERO collateral damage, and the company NOT found negligent in any way, will still cost the company at least a million dollars PER INDIVIDUAL. Now, if you add on all the damage to buildings and property, any injuries, fines from the city for blocking the street, OSHA fines, and any negligence found, and you can't even imagine the numbers. Also, if negligence is found, the government doesn't hesitate to file criminal charges.

As I watched the news today and saw the story regarding the construction crane collapse in Manhattan. I couldn't help but notice that "Mike the Teacher", only yesterday, spoke about not worrying about the crane outside the studio window collapsing.

My first question, not being a New Yorker, is that the crane Fezzie worries about as he panicks and looks out of the studio windows at his eminant death ahead?

My second question, was Fezzie crushed by the crane collapse?

If Fezzie was killed by the crane, I will miss him where ever he is.

If he survived the his foreseen crane collapse as he foresees bridge collapses ( remember the Minneapolis bridge collapse ) in his mental imagery, perhaps he is psychic. That would explain his oddities and fears perhaps. Maybe he can try to focus solely on lottery numbers from now on as I could certainly use some extra money and a hot numbers tip.

Perhaps he is doing "THE SECRET" and projecting his thoughts out into the universe and manifesting these things into existence. If so, please stop Fezzie. You are killing people with your thoughts.

I would like to have Fezzie tested by putting him into an isolation room while Ron holds up random images of destruction ( throw in a vagina pic to really stump him ) and Fezzie can attempt to describe the images without seeing them. This show is a science experiement anyway.
