I miss the FM show

I find myself missing the FM show from when they were running both FM and XM. I loved both shows but what I really loved was all that extra R&F goodness each day. I listen time delayed and am running out of content each day and selfishly want more. :)

I ran into a spot where I couldn't listen at work and totally fell behind on my listening, now I am all caught up and dying for more. I like to listen at work and between o&a and r&f I pretty much cover my work day. I also got into the habit of listening while I play video games and now it feels weird to be playing without my buddies R&F gibber jabberin in the background making me laugh. You would think 7 hours of content would keep me busy but alas that isn't the case.

I think they might have gone nuts trying to keep that 2 shows a day train rolling, but I do miss it. I am starting to burn through the weekend shows now too and if I am not careful I might have to actually get a life lol.

show had a whole different pace with the nighttime new york callers.

i57 reads, esd runs the midnight rider outta town, birth of mighty horse and the dave /et/casey saga. good times.

I was thinking, you know how Ron wanted to do some shows in Chicago? Well what if Chicago offers them an afternoon or night time show? Would you want R&F to relocate to Chicago so they can do more radio? Provided that both show broadcast on xm?

Ohh, that is a great suggestion. I did not think of trying to find pre-XM shows! I have listened to everything since they came to XM but nothing really before that. I am going to have to warm up my internet detective shoes and track down the old shows. That is so obvious I am sitting here stunned at my own stupidity for not thinking of that myself. lol. Thanks!

I don't want them to move to Chicago even if it meant more showwy goodness. If they did I don't think I could take it. They would be too close to Molly's cupcakes and I want a ronnie b cupcake so bad that I don't think I could handle them having anytime access to them. I think my saliva glands would explode with all the drooling, then I would have to deal with dry mouth...it would be a whole thing....nope I think they need to stay in NY where I am safer from being driven mad by desire for that awesome looking cupcake.

I am so creeped out right now that I think I need to share and spread the creepy-ness around a bit. I had to re-word that last paragraph like 3 times. Not only did every sentence make it sound like I wanted to pull a Fez and fuck the cupcake...but since it is named the Ronnie B cupcake...it made it sound like I wanted to bang Mr B. I love Ronnie, but I dont LOOVVVVEEE Ronnie. Very creepy. I don't want to have sex with the cupcake for the record, I simply am sad that I cannot try one due to living no where near Chicago and they have yet to find a viable method to ship them.

ron and fez deserve their own channel, and then add their radio buddays for other slots on the channel

Def would love rf channel...as for shows for buddays, I hope they have more success than O and A had with their "golden ticket" schtick-or anything else they try lately.

You might want to check out the file library on a little site called ronfez.net There are no full shows but my conservative estimate would say that there's 32 work days worth of old segments.

Rush Limbaugh broadcasts in NY from his studio in FL.

RF can broadcast in Chicago from a studio in NY. Do some kind of affiliate thing.

I would guess that part of wanting to do radio in Chicago would mean actually relocating to Chicago, otherwise, what's the point.

The difference between doing a FreeFM and the XM show is you get a lot new blood.

The XM show feels a lot like an uber-fan show, because a lot of the listeners have gone out of their way to pay just to listen to Ron & Fez. I recognize most of the callers now, they talk about the boards, and PalTalk, and different friends of the show (I'm not complaining about this, just stating it).

I would imagine if you came across it by just flipping through, it would come off as very inside.

Whereas, on FreeFM, by far, you get a ton of people you don't usually hear, and because of that you get much broader subject matter. Especially with their last FreeFM show being NYC exclusive, you get a whole New York vibe to it that makes thing flow much differently.

WJFK had the same thing, although let's not confuse the NYC vibe with the DC vibe.


Plus for whatever reason, and I hope people don't take it the wrong way, because I don't mean it in an insulting way, but the FreeFM shows came off as more 'adult' if that makes any sense.
