I know they check emissions, lights, brakes, horn, but do they check if your windows open?

I'm due for an inspection and while my driver's side window DOES work, it doesn't always line up correctly. Right now I have it lined up perfectly so I'm willing to put my car in park and pay for parking at the mall by opening my car door. YES, THAT'S ME.

I just don't want to spend MORE money on my car while I have something I can live with until my next check with overtime, which won't be for a while.

Again, the driver's-side window works but is slightly off when I close it.

Go to your neighborhood inspection station. There is a place in Bayonne called Dillian Tires, they inspect your car for like 40 or 50 bucks. I do not think they check the windows that has nothing to do with the running emmisions of your car.

No they don't check windows if they open or close properly. However any cracks, espeically the front windshield will be a problem.

I'm glad I don't live in Jersey! Inspection in VA is 10 bucks.

He was talking about a private inspection station, if you just go to a DMV one it's free.

That's because they rape us with the car tax.

I can't imagine what Jersey car inspectors would think about some of the hunks of shit I see on the roads around here.

Don't sweat the window.

However, my chick failed last week because of worn wiper blades!

Are they still around? The one by me closed a long time ago. I just thought that they all closed.

Worn wiper blades?! That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. That's even worse than the time they failed my old Buick because the emergency brake pedal hit the floor when engaged, even though the brake functioned just fine. When I went back for the re-inspection (without fixing it) at a different station, the guy looked at the card, pressed the e-brake down , and saw it still hit the floor. He said that he couldn't pass me. I asked him to get out of the car. I sat down, started it up, put the e-brake on, and jammed on the gas. The car didn't move an inch. I passed.

NJ inspection blows.

They said the wipers were a safety issue. I changed the blades, she went back next morning and passed. My car is also due this month. Wish me luck.

We don't even have DMV inspection stations. The $10 fee in VA is at private shops. AJ was right, though. The tax here sucks. I drive an 8 year old Prizm and I pay 100 bucks a year.

I know some guy who used a square glass coaster he got at a wedding to clean the ice from his front windshield. It left tiny scratches all over. Will this be a problem when I......I mean he gets it inspected?

Pennsylvania sucks ass

Emissions test (in the heavily populated areas)
and a Safety Inspection test... all together about 75 bucks

but they are all dealers or private garages, so you can find a lickem stickum station that will look the other way and still inspect your beloved hunk a shit for an extra 25

They check those here in VA too. And the horn too I think.
