That's to seal in the flavor.

That makes sense. I've spilled my goodness many times. Those child support payments can be a bitch.

Distilled 6 times? It probably isn't half bad. You could probably run your car on it too.
Now THIS is a top shelf spirit:

My father had a bottle of this in the cellar. One night we got stupid and decided to try some. I'm surprised we didn't go blind.
Have a great birthday Big A!!!!!!

I haven't had any in years, but there's always been a fair amount of peach moonshine available around here. It's pretty damn good stuff.

Being that i live in alabama with the ham and eggers. I have had moonshine on many different occasions. The problem with moonshine is you have to find someone, usually an older gentleman that has his own still and makes it clean. You dont want moonshine from a shitty still where they run it through old car radiators and use a bunch of battery acid and shit. I use to know an old man that had good clean shine and it wouldnt make you sick. I work with a guy who makes my favorite drink homemade alabama wine. He makes muscadine, blackberry and grape. Muscadine is my favorite. After the frost comes and he produces some this year i wouldnt mind shipping out half gallons if anyone wants to try some. A small donation may be neccessary for shipping expenses but if your interested just let me know. I dont mind shipping out a few packages. I think once you get a taste of homemade alabama muscadine wine you will never want anything else. Thanks God Bless

After hearing about this "wonderful" vodka on Ron & Fez, I finally picked up my first bottle of Tito's on the way home from work today.
I work in Jersey, but live in Pa.
Stopped in a Jersey liquor store on the way home and they only had the 1.75 liter bottle in stock. It was $37.99
I asked the dude at the counter if they had the smaller bottle and he said no, it was a special order. I asked the price......$24.99, 750 ml
I figured I would just check out my local liquor store in Pa and sure enough, they had it in stock. Both sizes.
The 1.75 was $27.99 and the 750 was only $17.99. That's quite a difference in price. I purchased the 1.75 and I'm now on my second drink.
Two words for this vodka.
Very Nice.

Got my first bottle this weekend. Tastes great, really smooth.
But the real test was how I'd feel the next morning, since I've been prone to hangovers more than usual lately (possibly old age setting in.)
Amazingly, I drank 1/3 of the 750ml bottle with no hangover whatsoever. Can't beat that.

TI-Tos!!!
Fact love it
I'm sorry I missed you this time Big A!
I'm back in Austin now.
I'll send some things to the studio for you.
Thanks to everyone for the Tito's love
I was an unprepared nervous wreck when they pulled me on the show and was worried I sounded ridiculous.

i liked the tito's for years(2) until i found a cheaper and better(depending on where you shop) vodka. the ruskova is a smoother vodka and cheaper than the tito's. call me an alcoholic but i like a vodka i can get wasted on and make the illusion im actually worth being paid for a job the next day. ruskova. why would anyone pay $16 for a fifth of titos when you can pay $13 for a liter of ruskova.

I had some a couple of months ago. It's pretty good for the price. Unfortunately in my case there's nowhere to buy it locally so it was a one time thing.

just read this in the san fran chronicle newsletter from a few weeks ago:
Most vodka is produced in giant column stills in plants that resemble petrochemical operations, where huge quantities of liquor pour out of vats into smartly designed bottles, ready for the marketing blitz that will lead consumers to believe the vodka is liquid platinum.
In fact, the largest-selling imported vodkas — Absolut and Stolichnaya — are owned by the Swedish and Russian governments, respectively. Both are made from wheat.
Tito's Handmade Vodka, on the other hand, is made by three people, using a pot still — the same method that small single-malt Scotch makers and French Cognac producers use. This type of still yields much lower levels of refined alcohol, yet it also retains much more flavor.
Instead of wheat, Tito's uses No. 2 yellow corn (the stuff that is not pretty enough for the grocery store), which besides being a boon to consumers who are wheat-sensitive, also lends a mild sweetness to the vodka's aftertaste.
Tito is Burt Butler Beveridge II, but he's gone by "Tito" for years. His last name has given him fits since school days, although now it makes a nice fit.
Tito's Handmade Vodka can be purchased in California at Trader Joe's and Beverages & More and ordered online.

My local liquor store carries it too. I've also seen it in Shop-Rite liquor stores.
I really enjoy it.

I'm from Texas. Tito's is okay, but Dripping Springs is a better Vodka. It is also a Texas Vodka, but is much better than Tito's.
