Fezzie was talking about a big rebel flag in his hometown the other day, and I stumbled upon this today.

This website sells all kind of patriotic american shit, but for some odd reason they offer 5 varieties of rebel flags. They also sell North Vietnam flags and UK flags (under countries, its the only non-american flags they sell).

I found it odd that they did not sell any other countries flag, including their closest neighbour, Canada.

What kind of a fucking country are you in that is more proud to sell FIVE VARIETIES OF REBEL FLAGS but no Canadian flag?

Anyone else find that odd? The North did win that little scrap you guys had right?

I get so tired of the same old "it's a battle flag" defense. If all the rebel flag stands for is Southern Heritage, then why do the rebel flags start getting waved everywhere whenever there's a race related controversy?

It's good old American supply and demand, my Canadian friend. We have plenty of racists, but there's only so many NHL arenas.

Relax there big boy. I never said there was a big deal. I noticed something I thought was odd, and I posted it for my friends comments and thoughts here. I'm not starting some kind of bashing, just sharing thoughts.

And in my opinion, a soldier with a rebel flag is fucked - the US army beat them in a war. Why would a us soldier fly the flag of an opponent they beat?

They have all the flags of the confederacy outside the alabama capitol, with an explanation of each one. My favorite was the last one, which they said replaced the 1863 flag because it had too much white and reminded people of the white flag of surrender. The confederacy surrended just days after the flag was changed.
