Nothing? Unless they were work related items.

What ethnic group do you think was responsible and do you think they should receive reparations?

Talk to your supervisor and human resources department. See what they say. Obviously insurance will be brought into the equation because of the damage to the work verhicle.
If not, see if your renter's insurance covers it.

To clarify...it is my car, they pay for mileage.
I own my house, but the value of the loss is below the deductable

SOL then. Renter's insurance wouldn't cover, and your car insurance deductible wouldn't cover that much either.
Talk to HR, see what happens, if you have a police report, maybe you'll get something, but I'm guessing not.

I was in the same situation a few months ago. Someone broke my driver's side window... got my gps and xm. My company wouldn't cover it. They "didn't have a policy in place for something like that". My insurance has a deductible of $1000 on stolen stuff, unless it was something installed in the vehicle. I sucked it up and bought a new gps and xm.
