I don't know if the rest of you caught this story this week, but former WCW ref Billy Silverman was interviewed recently about his decision to leave the WWF. If you aren't familiar with the specifics of his story, Silverman came with the rest of the WCW guys who were part of the buy-out, but left shortly after starting with the WWF because of "ribbing" by WWF wrestlers / employees.

In this interview (which you can read here http://www.prowrestlingtorch.com/cgi-bin/correspondence.cgi?correspondence/2001/20011211_16525), Silverman goes in depth as to what this ribbing consisted of, and who was responsible for it.

There's been a lot of speculation as to whether or not Silverman is telling the truth, or if everything he's said is accurate. BUT, if it is true, than it does not paint a very nice picture of the WWF locker room. Read the transcript, and form your own opinions on the matter. (You can also read the opinions of the individuals who run the site by using the menu on the left of the linked site).

Personally, if this is true...wow. Some hardcore shit goes down in the locker room from time to time. And if this is accurate....well, IMO, it's official - Bradshaw's a fucking asshole with some very deep homosexual issues. And Blackman has gained my respect for kicking his ass.

Se7en, I read the interview and did not read a thing about Blackman, or him kicking any sort of ass. Whatever, to me this guy sounds like a pussy. There are things you have to go through that everyone does some time or another, he just couldn't take it. I would gladly carry bags and serve liqour on planes, what's the big deal?

IT'S TIME TO PLAY THE GAME-AHHH!

Game, there's allegedly more to the story than was just in this interview.

There's the story about Charles Robinson. He was disrobed, tied up, and paraded around the ring for the crew to laugh at. Silverman touches on this, I believe. Robinson took the ribbing, and word is he's respected as "one of the boys" for it now. That's a fairly harmless prank.

Some of the more serious stuff is VERY disturbing. The most inflammatory story out there is that, a couple years ago, there was a wrestler who entered the WWF (they don't name names but they describe him as "well-known"). He was cornered in the shower, tied up, and then baby oil was poured upon him while some of the other wrestlers (they never list the exact number involved in the "prank") threatened to rape him. Apparently (if this story is true), the threats were realistic enough for the guy to break down into tears. If that is an accurate story, than that's about the farthest thing I can think of from being a "harmless joke".

As for the Bradshaw thing....Bradshaw is the one rumored to be mainly behind all of the ribs. And the incident that I mentioned was when Bradshaw was fooling around with Blackman, reached out and grabbed his ass, and Blackman responded by punching Bradshaw right in his big dumb head.

Like I said - form your own opinions here, since these stories haven't been confirmed, and may never be. I just threw this story out here because it's one of the biggest wrestling-related items of the past couple weeks, and it gives an interesting look at an inside part of the business (wrestlers "policing" their own).
