Since the line between real person/show character is kind of blurry on the Show, let give my two points of view: as a character, East Side Dave is becoming a legend and is probably only behind the Fabulous Al Dukes as a RnF player. As a person I'm feeling kind of guilty that Dave McDonald is putting himself and his family through some uncomfortable situations to gain "our" acceptance.

I've said before that the beauty of ESD was that he erased the line between laughing at him and laughing with him. I hope that he doesn't completely erase the line between show character and father/husband/son, etc.

Well thats not entirely true, there was a period here at my new job where i listened for 2 weeks straight before they caught on, and listen to the replays when i rent a car to drive back to maryland so i do hear the show, and the listeners do a really good job of recapping the show in the listening thread.
