So I'm going bald. Nothing I can do but make the best of it right? I have been telling my wife for years that once I start to lose it I'm gonna shave it off. She used to argue and bitch about it, but now she has said lets do it. Now that the time is upon me, I am worried about how it will look. I have tried to find an easy way to get a virtual version of me made up, but to no avail.
Anyone out there at .net care to use there mad photoshop skills to help brother out? Message me if you can help.

I once saw some glamor software that allowed you to try different hairstyles. There's probably a free one out there and it would probably have a bald option. I tried it once to convince a redneck friend that she needed to modernize here hair, and it worked pretty well.

Do you or anyone you know have a PS3? On the latest Tiger Woods game, you can upload pictures of yourself and it makes a nearly identical version of you, only bald.

Just do it. If you don't like it, then let it grow back.

I started shaving mine when I started going bald and I think its great. Its so much easier all around. You can save every day if you want or let it go a few. I usually do mine every two days.
Don't worry about going bald either. I see no shortage of women interested in bald men. I see a lot of tough guys who are bald. Humans are evolving into a hairless species, and so in reality, guys with hair are genetic throwbacks! Fricken neanderthals as far as I am concerned!

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I dont care about the ladies (married, 3 kids) what I am worried about (I'm embarrassed to say) is the ridicule of my co-workers the day after.
It appears that I am a coward.

You're gonna get a "hey cueball" here and there, but after a while it's just what you look like now.
It's been over a year for me and I feel more confident being completely bald than going bald.

I went down to no guard on my clippers now (which is essentially o'clock stubble setting) and have not regretted it one bit.

Fuck it, I did it. I took this afternoon and Monday off from work (Tuesday is Canada day, so I am off until Wednesday. I came home from work, and started shaving. I trimmed it down to 1/2 inch, looked crappy. Went to 1/4 inch, still didnt like it. Went no guard at all, then decided to say fuck it and shaved 'er bald. I kind of like it, but it sure does feel weird to be bare scalp after 34 years of various amounts of hair.
Thanks for the support guys. Now lets see how receptive the kind souls at the meat processing plant are when I walk in looking like a fat Kojak....................

You lasted 4 years longer than I did.
I shaved mine 2 days after my 30th birthday.
I always had crappy hair. Stringy, straight, couldnt style it without using a whole can
of mousse or spray. And when the wind came, had to be facing into it, or it would mess. Awful.
I gave myself that birthday present and never looked back.
Bald is better than crappy hair. Bald is better than balding.

If people give you shit just say you did it for the aerodynamics.
you've got a 440 time to cut down.
I went down to no guard on my clippers now (which is essentially o'clock stubble setting) and have not regretted it one bit.
that's what i do, touch it up every sunday, saves the problem of little nicks and cuts associated with the full shave

I shave my head, I usually take the Mach3 to it every 2nd or 3rd day.
You can't do any kind of software to see what it would look like because it's all dependant on the shape of your head. I have a similarly shaped head to Bruce Willis and it works out. If you have a head like Jerome Iginla and the side angle looks like you have a tumor growing out of your forehead, you might not be so happy.
You just have to shave it.
Get some clippers from Walmart and cut it down to the blade for a bit; when you lose more up top you can move on to the Mach3.
And if you wear a hat; start booking tanning sessions to get rid of the tanline

As a bald man who sports the "dome" look you will get teased and ridiculed.
