Kids in the Hall was a hilarious cluster fuck of an interview, thats what made it so great.
I enjoyed the Louis C.K. interview due to the insight he gave to his backstory. It was cool to hear how a little on stage honesty really helped his career take off.
Both very good shows but ya...totally different vibe.

Louis CK was great. I thought it was more informative than some other Unmasked. He was funny, but he really opened up and told his story. Which is very interesting. Other than scratching his head constantly he was great.
I wanted to ask him if he knew who Jimmy was dating, but I didnt want to take away from "his" show.

Doubt it, Ron is good about keeping the two shows very separate and the Dave thing wouldn't fit within the context of an Unmasked.

very true.
and none of the Unmasked guests would be so disrespectful as to ask such a silly question when there is an opportunity to get some real truth out of a comic professional such as Louis.
I am only sorry that the XM listening audience will be hearing such a condensed and probably edited down version of the interview. There was a lot of substance there... I am wondering how much they will cut out for time.

Easily the best entertainment bargain in the city. I'd have joined up with you all for what we used to call "kegs and eggs" every Saturday morning in Scranton, but I had to stop all that. I drank mediocre coffee across the street - great soundtrack in there though.
One of the best conversations I've ever witnessed and I went primarily for the Ron portion - Louis CK is easily one of my least favorite on air comedians. Instead of the constant negativity and f drops, he was fucking sage and extremely funny. Very inspirational account of how he walked away from boatloads of cash to do what he considered important.
(My first Unmasked was David Brenner - again, went for Ron and came away a Brenner fan. Nice to see more than 15 people in attendance this time)

Did Louis CK come out afterwards and take time to meet with fans or did he get right into his transportation? I'm wondering this for next time if I ever want to stay and get a picture with the person being interviewed. I would've liked one with Jay Mohr but Ron said he had dinner plans and this time I really wanted some Chipotle so I left right afterwards.

As a relative newbie any time I've ever gone to the Unmasked shows, there's usually a lot of conversations going on so I've always assumed everyone else already knew each other. I've introduced myself to the few folks who were by themselves but felt funny saying "I'm Gritty from RF.net". So it's usually, "Hi, I'm Tom. Are you with the show or a listener?"
Is that acceptable behaviour?
Next Unmasked, I'm saying hello to everyone. You're all on notice.

I prefer to stand in the shadows, trying to figure out who is who. Some are obvious, have seen pictures of most of the more regular guests, callers, and some needed a little work to figure out who they were.
Besides, after an introduction you lose the protection of anonymity. I really wanted to tell Earl he sucks to his face, since he prefers that, but I let him get away, this time.

Took off work and brought the wife up to see the show, what a great time, probably going to the next one as well. We wanted to hit up some bars afterwards, but I didn't know anyone there or know where the f I was besides the fact that we were in NYC. We drove up from Philly,so I'll probably take the train next time, I can't stand driving into nyc, such a pain in the ass, although it only took about an 1 hour and a half to get to comix from my house, like taking a trip to the shore.
I didn't think I would get nervous, but when I saw the great Ronnie B afterwards, I turned into a such shy pussy. I wanted to say more then "Hey, Ronnie", I'm such a tool...
Fezzy seemed like he was doing great, was laughing his ass off

Earl made a huge effort to greet people. He asked me if I worked at Comix . I said, "Does it look like I work here?" (it didn't). We then had about a 5 minute conversation that included MANY awkward pauses, but Earl didn't walk away. He hung in there like he was determined to have a conversation with a stranger. Weird, but good for Earl, considering I made no effort whatsoever.
I saw him walking around making sure to greet as many people as possible.

Yeah if the bar was open I would have taken advantage and maybe would have been social. I really wanted to meet some other Ron and Fez fans, but it just felt too awkward. It's a really odd thing seeing people you know only because they are fans of the same show you are, while they have no idea who you are. My stupid insecurities would have made me feel pathetic.
The interview was a lot of fun to watch, despite being really uncomfortable in my seat. Speaking of which poor Crazed was sitting in front of me and appeared to be miserable. I also enjoyed a front row seat to Lilly abusing Earl.

The problem with this Unmasked it that it will be poorly reviewed, but people will seem to find it funny for some reason.

Best Unmasked so far, not saying Louis was most talented or funniest; although he might be both. Best stripping down of a comedian so far in this series, in my opinion.

Yeah; imo especially when telling about the turning point in his entire approach.
