Well the dow is off 20% from its all time High. Oil is at $142 per bbl. Banks will be writing down even more in subprime mortgages. Nothing but red in all the major indices Welcome to the bear market

I wouldn't go so far as to say it's a full blown bear market, but it sure doesn't look good. Some jerkoff (Cramer) tonight or monday will call this a buying opportunity.

Take your canadian money and invest it in America while things suck. Then, when things don't suck in America and start to suck in Canada, you cash in and laugh at the silly bastards who were crossing the border to shop in Buffalo. Or do nothing and laugh at us. Either way you get a chuckle.

it just means we are going into a period of economic retraction. things will be shitty for a few years, and then hopefully bounce back.
it means for you that if you were going to retire you 401k might be low, and you might be a little hard pressed to do things you want to do in retirement.
the best advice is to save as much money as you can, and cut back a little on unnecessary expenses.

yeh they have been going down steadily each month since late last year but for the last month or so they've been staying the same
