I woulda posted this in the health forum, but its one of those jokeless satan forums like That's life. Anyway, I'm used to having problems in my lower back from certain things, and I have gotten pretty used to it. But right now, I have a pinched nerve in the upper left of my back between my spine and shoulder blade. It hurts when I move my neck, it hurts when I move my left arm, and it hurts if I do anything where I have to kinda lean my head down and stretch out my back.
Aside from just waiting, is there anything I can do to help this? Compensating for it is really making other parts of my back get stiff and its just a night mare

I hate jokeless forums. Everything in life should be taken without any seriousness.
How bout a warm bath, or some Tiger balm. I loove Tiger balm, it's like rubbing fire and ice on your skin at the same time, but without the burning. And, it makes you feel like when Clarise had to help examine the dead body in Silence of the Lambs and she had to put that menthol under her nose.

i think that only applies to the forum "that's life: the forum" not the whole sub-forum "that's life" (shouldn't that be super-forum anyway?)
like there's plenty of joking in the politics forum.
try laying flat on the ground for a spell?

bummer. try a hot towel around your neck (microwave works for that). i'm sure you're already taking plenty of painkillers.

to fix that nerve put a needle in the side of your left kneecap, turn counterclockwise 769 degrees but no further or else you will go blind. I read it in a fortune cookie.

NO. What sweet irony that this would come in a time where I actually had none.

Take some aspirin and go hang on something like monkey bars, upside down and right side up, one handed, etc. Find some position that stretches that area out, flex it hard as you can for as long as you can, than relax it completely, repeat. Balms, hot/cold packs, are great for muscle pain, but if you've got a pinched nerve you need to take some anti-inflammatory and decompress whatever is pinching it.
And next time bite the pillow, don't turn your head to the side.

Try fucking around with the nerves in your left elbow, on either side of the bone..Keep applying aggresive pressure until you feel it in your neck or back..
Once you've located the suspect nerve continue minipulating said nerve with you forefinget until it moves out of it's current position..
I'm certain this will help relieve your pain..
If not, I have about five hundred 10mg Vicodin..Those will definitly help..

This happens to me from time to time and it's hellishly brutal pain. What cuts down my recovery time seems to be to just sit in a comfortable position while I use a hot compress on it, taking asprin all day. What really makes it worse is to stretch it or massage it until I can move without too much pain. It used to take me over a week to recover, but the last time it only took me four days.

The only times of my life I've comtemplated suicide is when I pinch a nerve in my neck/back.
I have no solutions for you, all I can say is how happy I am that it is somebody else besides me. Sorry.

Put Ben -Gay on your nuts, that'll make you forget about your back.
Seriously try to do some stretching anything to "un pinch " the nerve. i get them all the time in my hip area, lower back. I'll do some sittups, maybe some jumping jacks, weird ass stretches, just try to un pinch it .
