I'm going to Orlando and one of my friends is bringing her 7 year old daughter with us.
So far we're going to the Magic Kingdom, either Univeral Studios or Disney MGM, the Outta Control Magic Dinner Show, Oppidity Dittiy boppity bop hair salon where they make you up as a princess. I'm pretty familiar with Orlando and Kissimee but I'm not familiar with doing kid friendly activities when I go down there.
Can anyone recomend any kid friendly activities to do in Orlando Florida?
Thanks!
We need a travel and leisure forum on this board. What say you?

Oh yeah, forgot about Old town (it was one my list of places to go). They usually have the classic cars there on the weekends. And from what I remember an arcade for skeetball and games to get tickets to win prizes. Thanks.

I think Disney pretty well covers it.

Yeah . . . I thought this was a joke thread when I saw it. Pretty much 99% of the things in the Disney/Kissimee/Universal area are geared towards kids. You would really have to go out of your way to find something that your kids wouldn't enjoy.

Okay, I'm going to get pegged as a nerdy mom now. However, my family went to Disney for the first time last year. I was more excited than my kids. Did you know they give out special dreams every day? We got some, including, free icees from mickey, free chips and soda from Minnie, a High School Musical banner from a concessionaire, and tons of candy. Our biggest surprise was that we were chosen to watch the night-time parade and fireworks from a special viewing stand, with NO ONE ELSE, and all the characters stopped and met my kids. Amazing.
Okay, why?
I think it was because in every park, at every attraction, food stop, ticket booth, etc. I gave away mini bottles of bubbles to the employees. 100 of them. (I got them at oriental trading company for about 12.00 total. They said princess on them. Every single disney person said, "oh my gosh, no one has EVER given ME a present before!" By the end of the day, people started saying, "you're the bubble lady...people have been talking about you on the walkie talkie's all day!
I didn't do it for the prizes. I did it because I spent most of my beginning years working in various public service jobs, and people just are difficult. All the time. I felt so great doing this...these people HAVE to smile, but to make them REALLY smile was awesome.
Please, thank you, and have a nice day go a LONG way also. Have a great time!
