when opie first told that story (or it was told to him) page asked permission to use that riff from spirit. now he's constantly acting like it was stolen. it's irritating.

Duff McKagen - Bass player for Guns and Roses and Velvet Revolver.

I think Dave Kushner (guitarist - Velvet Revolver, Suicidal Tendencies, Danzig) is in studio too..

And to top it all off, Dave praised "Estranged", one of the most bloated, overwrought, overlong pieces of crap recorded.

He just sounded like a loon.

No Anthony, he said nutsy.com...

east side dave was fuckin' hysterical in that segment yesterday, until he had to go and shove something up his ass and eat it, wtf?

was just listening to XM replay the segment where they discuss shaq's rap dissing kobe, i still cant decide who sounded more retarded during that, patrice or the b-b-b-boys...

shaq wasnt implying that he was dunking naked and kobe was defending him, he wasnt saying kobe's wife ate his ass and then went home and kissed kobe, he wasnt saying that he had snuck into kobe's house and shoved his toothbrush up his ass... he was just saying "hey kobe, kiss my ass"... i really dont understand how anyone could not immediately get that lol.

Jimmy bugged me a little this morning RE: the Joe Horn story. He started OK, but then he moved into this "I am right and you are wrong" zone and making a lot of assumptions about Mr. Horn and his reasoning.

The truth probably falls somewhere in between "he is a bloodthirsty douche" and "he is a hero defending his community." Very rarely is it a black and white issue (no pun intended), and you can't assume to know a person's motivation.

It kind of surprised (and annoyed) me that Jimmy took the definitive "anti" stance that he did.

So......I don't dredge the Opie and Anthony boards, but what is going on with them and XM? Opie keeps mentioning that they aren't being paid. Are their contracts on hold because of the merger or something else?

Jimmy is kind of tedious

Wasn't Jimmy on Fat Nick's side saying he was justified? What's the difference here?

I think Jimmy's problem was that they were calling it a hate crime, when race wasn't really Fat Nick's motivation.

Why is there an awful cover of Surrender playing?

It didn't register with me that it was actually a cover of Surrender at first. My thought was "This shitty song is ripping off Surrender."

When Opie was talking about meeting Ron Howard, he mentioned how Ron had asked him if Sirius and XM were merging and Opie said, "There's no way that ever could happen." I loffed.

Also, if they're going to put Bill Burr's tirade against Philly in Best-Of, why don't they put the XM version of it in, instead of the fucking FM version? The bleeps made it kind of funny, but its much better unedited.

This is the 3rd time I've heard it in 2 days (with replays), plus I have it saved on my Inno from a long time ago. I still laughed my ass off hearing it again.

I must say, what I heard of Metallica at Bonnaroo on XM was pretty damn good, and I haven't been impressed by much of anything by them in 15 yrs or so. They opened their set with "Creeping Death" and it rocked.

this is literally a worst of. We get treated to hours of them promoting the upcoming 2006 NJ traveling virus tour. Oh that was a good show.

I called ticketmaster and they said tickets are no longer available. They must be sold out already.

Why are they repeating the same Whoopi worst-of they played in the 3pm hour? Whoever threw this together is really fucking lazy.

The last few days have brought us some super sloppy O&A "worst ofs" editing.

I blame the blacks.
