Hey, Dr. Steve, big fan. I have a question about masturbation. Since I'm a lazy individual, when I jerk off I will squeeze my penis at the base at the moment of orgasm to prevent any ejaculation. I only do this about every other time, but I've found it's very convenient. What kind of damage, if any, am I doing to my body? And does this negate any prostate cancer-prevention that masturbating gives? I've tried googling for the answer to my question, but I didn't get anywhere because I couldn't search for the right keywords.
Also, when is your next show? I liked this past Saturday's installment with Pat from Moonachie.
Thanks for the help.
what you're inducing is "retrograde ejaculation"...that's the thing you want to google.
basically you're defeating a mechanism of a sphincter that's set up specifically to prevent what you're doing...your ejaculate is following the path of least resistance into your bladder and then you piss it out later.
a couple of problems could result from this:
1) you weaken the sphincter enough so that you can't ejaculate normally, or you start leaking urine (doubtful, but not impossible I suppose)
2) you fracture your penis with all that squeezing at the base...(very unlikely, but not impossible)
3) you irritate your bladder with all that semen that's not designed to be in there (never actually heard of this)
so the risks seem small, though I will look this up myself and see if I can find any compelling reason to dissuade you from it (other than "it ain't natural!")
I'm glad you liked the PfromM segment...I wasn't sure I was doing him justice. He's a really nice guy and I enjoyed working with him for the night.
hope this helps!
your friend,
steve
PS: our next show is Oct 18th, 2008!
