Since last night's shocking CM Punk cashing in on Edge huge mark out moment, I thought about bringing this topic up. What was the last and biggest mark out moment you had for wrestling?

For me, the very last time I get this excited was maybe when Hollywood Hogan turned back to Hulk Hogan again with the Hulkamania theme song. I know its lame but that was the last time I could recall jumping out of my seat and marking out like a mad man. But the biggest for me was when they had the ECW Invasion coming from the crowd prior to the whole Alliance angle then Paul Heyman goin' off on an Extreme diatribe.

I think for me it was when Stone Cold returned in a match on Smackdown when he jumped out of the ambulance truck to beat on Triple H. The other would have to be Rock and Mankind winning the tag team championship and Mankind's first WWE Title win.

I think my biggest, by far, was probably in April 2000 when Jericho pinned Triple H to win the WWF Title on RAW. Of course it was reversed 15 minutes later, but when it happened, I was jumping around and screaming in joy.

I'd have marked huge for Punk last night, but somebody spoiled it for me before I got a chance to see the show. I'm still too jaded with WWE to really be excited about it yet, though. I've got no faith in them giving him a legit chance yet. I'm just going to try to enjoy it while it lasts. Hopefully I can be proven wrong.

Since the Jericho thing, it has to be something from one of the times I've been live to ROH. I marked out during the entire Black/McGuinness title match, I marked huge when Joe choked out Morishima in 'Shima's first match in ROH. Oh, wait. The biggest, though, since Jericho beating Triple H in 2000, is definitely Homicide beating Danielson for the World Title in NYC. It was such a perfect moment that I was on the brink of tears for the guy.

i'm sure there has been one since then...but Lawler showing up in ECW was great. the lights going out and coming back on with him in the middle of the ring was awesome. a great beatdown of Dreamer also.

i think that was Ravens last match in ECW(well until his return from WCW).

All things I've seen live:

Seeing Kenta Kobashi, Jushin Liger, The Great Muta and Mitsuharu Misawa in ROH.

Sandman's return to ECW after being in WCW.

Raven's return to ECW after being in WCW.

Bam Bam Bigelow beating Shane Douglas for the ECW title aas a mystery opponent.

The return of Cactus Jack (defeating HHH I believe) on Raw at MSG.

I don't mark a lot, but here's a short list:

Cena's return at the Rumble. Totally unexpected, and pulled off extremely well.

ECW Arena. November to Remember (I think) - Taz tazplexes Paul E. The lights go off. The lights come on, and Sabu is on the other side of the ring facing down Taz. (first in-ring confrontation since the "Path of Rage/Sabu Fears Taz" campaign started)

Rock/Hogan, Wrestlemania, Toronto.

Foley wins his first belt on Raw.

ECW Arena. Lawler shows up. I couldn't believe how loud it was in there. It was DEAFENING.

Those Elks Lodge shows will never be topped for me. Best Atmoshphere ever.

My friends and family still play back a tape of one of the Elks Lodge shows where someone (I believe Axl Rotten) whipped D-Von Dudley into the guardrail. I was first row, somehow was paying attenting to something else, and ended up with a guardrail in my stomach. I almost shit myself, and you could tell as much on the tape. I believe this aired on the TNN show as well.

I'd have to go WAY back, I think:

http://www.obsessedwithwrestling.com/pictures/o/owenhart/46.jpg

When Owen pinned Bret in the first match at WM10, and then Bret came back and beat Yokozuna for the belt later that night. Best booked show WWE ever put on.

...now that I think about, Sandman's entrance at the first ECW One Night Stand was a borderline one, too.

i was there for that and I marked out like the biggest bitch EVER, it was amazing.

also, i believe it was the royal rumble at MSG.........me and a buddy of mine started a "We want Taz" chant right before kurt angle was set to face an "unknown" opponent. the whole place followed suit and we had all of MSG screaming "WE WANT TAZZ", when tazz finally appeared i went nuts, marking out like a tool.

The night Shane walked out on Nitro

Wow, did we have different reactions to that.

That basically ended my weekly watching of wrestling, almost permanently.

There's been periods were I've checked in since, or watched for a couple months at a time, but my status as a hardcore wrestling fan ended with that episode of Nitro.

I'm trying to remember the last episode of RAW I watched all the way through...I think it was last year some time...there was a period where I had been watching for a couple months last year...but I honestly don't even remember who the champ was.

Gave TNA a shot when that debuted on Spike too...oh, the disappointment.

I was a HUGE DX fan back in the day. When they reunited them the 1st time, I was stoked. The excitement ended the next week when they made jobbers out of the Outlaws (I have always hated Xpac).

I have to agree with the night after Wrestlemania, with the Flair retirement ceremony.

I think it was mentioned above (sorta) but the night Mick Foley said he couldn't be as demented as Trips, then walked down the ramp & announced his replacement was Cactus Jack. I had been wanting to see the more psycho Foley for a while at that point.

The night they brought ECW back. Having RVD & company back was a nice thought, until that Alliance thing killed it. The Kurt Angle milk truck bit, well, I am sure most of you saw it. /sigh

Too bad he looked like a midget in the WWE. :wallbash:

I recall in an interview (Cyberslam '99 Q&A session) Tazz saying that Lawler was constantly mocking him for being a heavyweight champion when he "should have" been in the cruiserweights. Tazz said that he had to remind Lawler "it's cruiserweight, not cruiserheight."

A lot of my mark-out moments are indy-related these days. Last "big-time" mark-out... I'm really gonna have to ponder that, because for the life of me I can't think of any at the moment.

That's right; I forgot the night that ECW came back and all the ECW guys not just figuratively but LITERALLY turned in the ring and started wailing on the WWE guys pre-Alliance.

And of course, a few weeks later, Stephanie did something to herself that Jericho pointed out...

"She's been takin' her vitamins!" - Booker T, defending Steph to Jericho

My brother's then-girlfriend was watching that with us. She hates wrestling, and even she got caught up in the excitement (although Jericho's Pebbles 'do made her crack up).

That was fucking classic. As I recall, The Rock & Jericho were ripping up Steph, Shane, & Booker:

Jericho: "Let the bodies hit the floor? It should be let the BOOBIES hit the floor."

Rock: "Booker T hair done by Whoppi. Shane McMahon still a pussy."

Great stuff that night. Rock & Jericho seeing who had the better busts was funny as hell.

Didn't that segment have Rocky saying "Booker T and Shane: The punk ass sucka and the sliver spoon motherfucka!" I think Shane was supposed to cut him off but missed his cue.

The last time I marked out was at the first One Night Stand dduring quite a few parts, but I loved Tommy and Sandman's entrance for the main event.

I'll throw another on the RVD & Dreamer WWF debut pile. Its still such a shame they ruined it so quickly.

My last real markout moment (I got Punk spoiled by da interwebz too :( ) was Rhino winning the NWA Title at Bound For Glory 2005. I've been a Rhino mark since ECW and I've despised Jarrett since his WWF days, so it was all around a great night. Another one ruined within the following 48 hours though.
