Forgotten Heroes Commemorative Proof (http://www.nationalcollectorsmint.com/product.jsp?path=-1|6966&id=8017)
Forgotten Heroes? Forgotten by whom? I guess by this company when it comes to royalties for the families.
Now, many are sick and dying from breathing the poisonous air. This special commemorative was created to support these Forgotten Heroes of 9/11. The commemorative features a breath-taking standing sculpture of the Twin Towers
$5 of every commemorative order will be donated to official 9/11 charities benefiting the first responders and rescue workers
Wow. 5 dollars. Hey, you're sick and dying of mesthothelioma? Here's 5 bucks, White Castle is open 24 hours a day.

I remember a similar "coin" being sold that had an LED light in it, so the towers would "glow" sort of like the floodlights that were set up at Ground Zero.
Edit: Nevermind, it's the same company. I hope whoever designed this next coin gets Donnie Darkoed when he goes to sleep:

What gets me are the collectible coins that are actually being made by the US Mint. They aren't actual currency, but they ARE made by the Mint. Suckers who see the commercials believe that they're real. Recently, some local stores were notified of people going around trying to buy stuff with $20 coins from this promotion. Since the coins cost MORE than $20, I'm guessing someone broke into the home of some sucker who bought them, and are now trying to pass them off as actual cash.

There was another one that commemorated the Corvette. It had glowing LED headlights.

I think there was a Marilyn Monroe one too. The titties glowed.

Whoever's responsible for that is horrible. I'm going to say a prayer for their souls while holding my Miracle Cross.

Your prayers are useless unless you are holding a genuine Olive Wood crucifix from Jerusalem:

Your unholy pewter will only lead you down the path of unrightousness-repent and seek forgiveness!

Do items for sale such as the 9-11 twenty dollar bill (www.911twenty.com) disgust you the way it disgusts me...
obviously these items are made solely to capitalize on the 9-11, especially with the charged words they use in the commercial to get people to try to relive their feelings...
on top of that, i feel like it targets old people the most, because they are the ones who will buy these "collectors" items thinking they will be worth a lot to pass down to their grandchildren...
i guess it upsets me bc i see my own grandfather getting passionate about these stupid items and spending what is left of his retirement on crap like this...
i know people are responsible for what they spend, but is it not a little sickening that these companies make money on a U.S. tragedy (i know its a dogeatdog world but...im just sayin)
i dunno im not good with words but i wanna know how you all feel about it....

I can't quite recall how soon after 9-11 these items began showing up, but it wasn't long. :furious:
