E-Mail's from an Evangelical Friend

I get about one a month. We've been very good friends for 20 years, but this one was so crazy I had to share it. Still a good friend, but after this weekend it's safe to say this will be the last one I receive.

who mocked God:

John Lennon (Singer):
Lennon, after saying that the Beatles were more famous than Jesus Christ, was shot six times.

Tancredo Neves (President of Brazil ):
During the Presidential campaign, he said if he got 500,000 votes from his party, not even God would remove him from Presidency.

Sure he got the votes, but he got sick a day before being made President, then he died.

Cazuza (Bi-sexual Brazilian composer, singer and poet):
He died at the age of 32 of LUNG CANCER in a horrible manner.

The man who built the Titanic

'Not even God can sink it'

The result: I think you all know what happened to the Titanic

Marilyn Monroe (Actress)
She was visited by Billy Graham during a presentation of a show
He said the Spirit of God had sent him to preach to her.
After hearing what the Preacher had to say, she said:
'I don't need your Jesus'
A week later, she was found dead in her apartment

Bon Scott (Singer)
The ex-vocalist of the AC/DC. On one of his 1979 songs he sang:

'Don't stop me; I'm going down all the way, down the highway to hell'
On the 19th of February 1980, Bon Scott was found dead, he had been choked by his own vomit.


If it was a joke, you would have sent it to everyone.
So are you going to have courage to send this?.

Wow! This thing had me scared and just about ready to repent my sins and accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior Faire, until it dawned on me that...

Jesus - Son of God and His holy incarnation in human form = DEAD!

Moses - Sizzle-chested Mailer-DAEMON of God and God's all-around gopher for his chosen people = DEAD!

Abraham - attempted child-killer for God and God's chosen Pat Reilly for the Jews = DEAD!

The Virgin Mary - God's favorite ho and baby mamma = DEAD!

Noah - God's Locke from Lost = DEAD!

The Twelve Apostles - Jesus' posse = DEAD!

Jonas = DEAD!

John the Babtist - DEAD!

Everyone, good and bad, in the Bible = DEAD!

And, in fact, most of these people died more horrible deaths than those in the email. Bon Scott choked on his own vomit on a drunken bender? Big deal! Jesus was CRUCIFIED! All those examples got off light compared to what God let happen to his own son.

The creepy thing is the number of people who will find those emails poignant and influential reinforcements of their faith despite the most glaring logical falacies they contain. I get them all the time from my family members. Cuckoo!

i used to recieve on a regular basis e_mails of this type over n over again from my mommy. not all of them religion based, after about 2 years worth i wrote one back (wish i had saved it) it bsically said if you forward this to 10 people you would get all kinds of vd cancer nd anything else i could think of . needless to say i didnt get any more. :) i kindof felt bad but i couldnt take it anymore

These people have to keep reminding themselves and reinforcing their beliefs. It's almost like they know somewhere in the back of their heads they're wrong, but trumpeting the same garbage over and over again everyday will keep them from discovering this fact.

Eh, let them have their faith if it makes them happy. I just wish people wouldn't bother me with it or worse yet, look down their noses at others who don't believe the same way.
