As a Fundamentalist Christian, these plates don't offend me.

As a constitutionalist, I find them disturbing. As a matter of fact, I'm against all these specialty plates, such as the sports teams, the "I support breast cancer research" "Organ Donor" and the like.

Plates are to be used to identify a car to police. Not to display your dick size.

I'd love to display my dicksize! My dates would pick up!

i changed over my plates (from NJ to Florida) about 6 months ago......when i went to the courthouse to change them i was astonished by how many specialty plates this whacked out state has, there's literally a plate for every cause possible. its frightening.

Do they have one where it shows an empty seat arena?

If you mean a plate for the Florida Marlins, I'm guessing yes.

Most personalized plates merely show how big a dick the guy behind the wheel is, not what he has.

I don't mind those kind of plates if they can be fair about it. Here in VA, they took a plate away from a guy who's tag said ATHEIST, yet (as long as a tag doesn't use the word "God"), there's thousands of people with Christian oriented messages.

My high school football coach's license plate said "bullshit" but in a different language.

I enjoyed that.

I was at the Red Sox game tonight and saw a booth where they were shilling these. It's a little too much I say. (https://secure.mlb.com/bos/fan_forum/fenwayplate_form.jsp)

For some reason my stupid little hometown in CT got it's own license plate. My grandparents were so proud to get one.

What was their reason for taking it from him?

Basically, if enough people complain about an "offensive" tag, they will take it from you. Christians will complain about shit like that, but non-Christians usually don't complain about shit they don't agree with. Well... they do. But they stop caring about it after a while, I guess.

Life sucks for the "I don't get too bothered by what other people do" sect.

But if an Atheist complained about Christian tags being offensive, Christian groups would say that was ridiculous, and everyone should be a Christian. They have a hard time believing people are different.

NY might be the most whacked out state in the Union.

i don't know anything aboot that one, but florida actually reversed a similar decision (http://www.atheists.org/flash.line/atheist6.htm) years ago.

That's just a silly comment...complaining has become a national past time. Whether its ethinc minorities complaining about "nappy-headed-hos" or the ACLU fighting the creche at the local firehouse to "hate speech" rules at colleges saying non-christians don't complain or complain less just makes no sense.

I did a spittake from the article-very funny line:

The protest was signed by 12 people. "Attempts to reach those with legible signatures were unsuccessful," noted the Times.

They should have called Ron and Fez. I'm sure Crazy Jen was one of the unintelligible signers.

12 people in a whole state gets a vanity plate pulled. Why can't 250,000 people on The Mall in D.C. get the troops pulled out of Iraq?
