The NYS Museum is there.
You can also boat around the river in a 'Ducks'
Saratoga is 30 min away
Lake George is an hour
Cooperstown (baseball hall of fame)is 90 min
Howe Caverns is about an hour
If you wanna laugh, you can go to Coxsackie and call them all a bunch of Cocksuckers

Depends when you'll be there. Saratoga is only open the last week of July to the end of August.

Just got back- Albany fucking sucks.

Best advice I got was hop on a train to the City (NYC), then sleep on the way back.

I go there 6 to 8 weeks and it stinks. Chain restaurants and malls, but Lake George and Saratoga and ballston spa are my fav places in the summer. Lots of winter stuff tho if your into that sort of thing in the appropriate months!
