seriously, what's the the japanese and their need to make creepy robots. robots I can sorta understand, but the japanese ones always come off a bit creepy.

It's a national form of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder caused by the atomic bomb attacks in WW2. The resulting postbellum cultural disorder led them to create all those giant mutated monsters like Godzilla, Gamera, Daimajin (a Japanese Golem), Ultra Man, and Astro Boy (?)... nevermind all those freaky tits & tentacles films!!!
