Sean Connery hands down. Roger Moore will always be Simon Templar, "The Saint".

Because Moore was the first Bond I got to know, I have to go with him. For Your Eyes Only is one of my favs...Connery was definitely great though,a nd I wish that he, or some other former bonds, would make an appearance in the new bond movie somehow. just a random thought.

Connery was suave and sophisticated, Moore relied on gadgets. It's all about Connery.

I prefer Moore as he seemed more relaxed in the role. Plus he had much better toys.

Sean Connery all the way...if not for Moore, we might have heard Connery say "Octopushy" and then giggle uncontrollably until we cried about what we've done with our lives.

Connery no doubt. Moore was too old, too doughy and went into bad humor too often. Connery was the man.

Without a doubt it's Connery. Moore was more of a Matt Helm than a James Bond, and George Lazenby looked like Prince Charles.

Connery , without a doubt. Moore was too comedic (sp?) for my tastes. Connery will always be the true James Bond. Bronson is even better than Mooe..

I once met Moore when I worked
for INS at JFK, and it was one of
the funniest moments of my life.

Moore came off of a Delta flight
and came through the US citizen
line because he had a diplomatic
passport(Sir Roger afterall). He
seemed very nice, in a good
mood. I stamped his passport,
said good night and off he went.

Then one of the waiting
passengers yelled "Connery
Rules!!!"

Connery was the better Bond.
but Moorse was a decent
replacment.

At their oldest (Connery in Diamonds are Forever and Moore in View to a Kill), Connery is still the most believable. By the end of his run as Bond, Roger Moore looked more like a Maitre D' than a superspy.

Connery always looked liked he'd smile at you, shoot you in the eye and then do your wife for good measure. He was alternately a gentleman and a total scumbag.

i would say Sean Connery but as I watch him "grow old" not so gracefully on the big screen, it bugs me...

I grew up watching Roger Moore as J.B. but I still think Sean Connery was more gooder.
Too bad they didn't start using Pierce Bronsan earlier in his carreer but hes just about spent and really didn't pan out as a good Bond.

Sorry about my previous post.

They have been on Saturday nights. The last one was "The Man With the Golden Gun I believe". The next one should be "The Spy Who Loved Me."

To answer the question: Connery. Moore was OK, Dalton sucked.

Sean Connery is the definition of Bond, sort of the way that DiMaggio is the premier Yankee...
