Having read a little about the history of AA I can say they were religious, but later groups have talked about a Higher Power being up to each peron's definition.

So your Higher Power doesn't have to be God, but can be the program, the group, etc.

While listening to the replay this morning, I have to remark that once in a great while; Dave might be right and Ron might be wrong.

The tail end of the Favre talk showed that and Ron noticed it.

When Dave started talking about radio, Ron realized that the red headed freak was right. I purposely wanted to hear that again and Ron took an easy out with the break.

Radio has a no-compete clause in most personality's contracts (and even other key personnel). If Dave is under contract for 3 more years and decides to retire, he can. (He can't be forced to work, we've seen that :smile:.) But if he changes his mind and wants to come back, XM 'could' honor the contract and bring him back. Or they could make him sit on the sidelines as long as the contract is valid. One thing he can't do, is jump to Sirius and work. Ron and Fez certainly know about no-compete clauses, it is exactly like that in the NFL.

The Packers 'OWN' Brett Favre's right to work in the NFL. He agreed to those terms and is compensated for that. The Pack could release him, but why should they? Loyalty is a 2 way street. If they are willing to pay Favre $12 million to carry a clipboard, that's their decision.

You do know that most states have stopped pulling the jury pool out of voter records, or, at least, not exclusively from that source, don't you? Here, they use drivers licenses,not voter records.

Besides, the whole "I get out of jury duty" thing is lame. If you complain about juries being dumbasses, do something about it.

I've probably only missed voting 2 or 3 times since I became eligible (and that's probably at least 30 elections), and I've been called to jury duty exactly twice.
