Am I the only one who will sacrifice service/price for a pretty face?
I habitually use places for service where I know there are gorgeous chicks as counter help. For example I get my drycleaning done a particular cleaners because I know that Anna this sexy brazilain girl works there will be taking care of me. I am not particularly mindful of the cost per shirt etc but I know Im not going across town to see the cranky Italian guy who may be cheaper.
I also will wait in the longer line at the IGA with the higher prices because I know they have the hottest cashiers around.
Same with one of the local Dunkin Donuts shop versus another more convenient one

Is this just me or are others similarly inclined?

It depends.

If they're nice - as in they'll talk to you sincerely, pleasant small talk, a real smile... then that makes a difference. A good one.

But if they're just hot but no personality, then I don't see any worth going out of your way.

I know a lot of girl bartenders. They're all attractive, but the bitches won't be getting my business.

hot chicks servicing= guys think they have a chance= shell out more money.

Absolutely on point.

i like that you all realize this...because here is another way to look at it which im always shocked by....
(because i wanna relate to this convo but my situation is a little different)

i get more free food and drinks then anyone should ever deserve bc i go to places where the cashiers (i supposed) dont get much attention and when im sincerely sweet to them which i am actually in person a really sweet girl (i just have a bad mouth) these boys give me free stuff...its like ridiculous....i should be 300lbs the free foods i get from these guys

I think we all make these types of decisions all the time, although it's not always about a prettier face. I know there some expenses I could get rid of, but doing these things makes my life easier or better or gives me time to do other things. so the extra price is price you are paying for something else.

In this case, you pay some extra money because seeing these women gives you some enjoyment, lifts your spirits, etc. As long as you can afford it, who cares? If it adds some pleasure to your life, and doesn't really harm your savings, etc., I say do it.

My paternal grandparents spent their whole lives saving and saving, but never really enjoying the money. Then my grandfather died and my grandmother was pissed that they didn't spend the money together doing vacations, ec.

Within the last 15 years, I've seen enough friends/acquaintances die (and survived a potentially terminal disease myself) to know that life should be enjoyed, because you don't know when your time is up. Plan to live to an old age, but not so much so that you're not enjoying your life now.

So go ahead and spend a couple of extra quarters or dollars to look at a beautiful face, who may make your day better or lift your spirits.

all im saying is sometimes its not only the pretty face bc i watch the girls who are a thousand times hotter then me go through the line but since they dont pay the guy any politeness and in my case i usually banter a little....i think thats why i get stuff

i dont have a job :wallbash: so its not like i know if guys come across town to see me

I don't mind going a little further or paying a little more to get great customer service or better quality things.

This applies to grocery trips to Wegman's (which is further away from my apartment than both ShopRite and Stop and Shop, but the clerks are friendlier and the produce is fresher) as well as my doctor, dentist and regular hairdresser (to whom I entrust the dye jobs I've been getting for the past 2 years.)

I also don't mind shopping at Whole Foods because all of their cashiers are friendly. (I have never had a surly Whole Foods cashier, even on a busy day. After a long week of crap from my managers, I appreciate that.)

I work hard to earn my money. Where and how I spend it is important to me, so if I'm slighted somewhere, I usually don't come back.

p.s. - I don't think this is a morals question, but more of an ethics question.

Absolutely.

And I'm watching the local farms for summer fruits and veggies. (In fact, I bought peaches from an orchard in Southern NJ the other day ... they sure tasted good! I had no idea that peaches were grow-able in NJ ... I thought they all came from Georgia.)

a large part of the time ethics and morality are swappable and are both ways to differentiate right from wrong.

I'm a sucker for this one.
If there's a hot bartender, I'll drink longer.
If there's a guy tending bar , I usually leave after a couple of beers.
