MSG, around 1969.
I remember Bruno Sammartino vs Don Leo Jonathan. Back then, the "WWWF" was considered an event for blue collar types and morons. Now I guess it's just morons. ;)

My first wrestling event live was fairly recent and was a landmark in wrestling history.. the first time I was at one was SummerSlam when Austin broke his neck... The air was filled with energy for him, and it was AWFUL to watch him actually get hurt... BUT HBK was there.. which was really rad.

Great topic Heck.
Fallon, I guess it's in the name huh. Dam
As for me, I actually brought it up on R/F I think during the mid-day run. I was the guy who had the Wild Samoans spit on my friend and I at the tender age of 7. Yeah, we were ripping them a new ass with terms like "You stink", "We want Hulk", and the powerful "My sister is tougher than you". Seven year olds can be ruthless I know and one can't blame them for losing their cool and hocking one up on us. I was pissed, yet SCOTT FOUNTAIN cried. That's right, SCOTT FOUNTAIN. I hope he catches this post! It's true though. The venue was at King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA.

Back in the 80's, I had gotten tickets to see the 1st Annual Slammy Awards in Baltimore. I never went. What a mess!

The first event I saw was a Raw taping in New Haven. It was the day after Summerslam in 1998. They were taping two weeks worth of Raw because of the U.S. Open Tennis. So the taping lasted for 5 hours. It got pretty tedious after a while, actually. The first live TV show I saw was a Raw in Houston in January 1999. This is the show when Mankind challenged The Rock to the "I Quit" match, and Chyna won the corporate Rumble to become number 30 in the Royal Rumble.

It was a WCW house show, back during 97 (when the NWO was still going strong).
The main event was The Giant / Lex Luger vs. Syxx / Curt Henning. Sting came out in his Crow outfit, and pretty much beat the hell out of all the NWO with the baseball bat. That wasn't the best match though....best of the night was Randy Savage vs. DDP. Violent match.
The Steiners were on the undercard too...and no matter how big you think Scott is, you have to see him in person. The SOB is a goddamn MONSTER. He has to be a good 300 lbs or close to it, and it's *all* muscle.

Raw in Atlantic City, September 1997, I believe it was. I think it was when HBK busted open Undertaker REALLY hardway with a chair.
I managed to get a sign on TV, even.
I prefer watching wrestling from home, with the exception of ECW events. ECW shows were always fun, but the WWF shows always had stupid people that ruined my experience.

I'm not a fan, but my roommate in college was an enormous fan. He dreamed of being a wrestler, and frankly he probably could have been. He was extremely strong and more than a little insane.
Anyway, this was back in '91, when wrestling was still pretending to be real. I was the only one on the dorm floor who had a car, and my roommate wanted to go see this WWF show at the Capital Center in DC. I knew the names and stuff so I wasn't lost, but it was fairly boring.
However, when Hulk Hogan came out, it was an authentic electric moment. The place went insane. There were decibel meters on the scoreboard, and they were pushing 120 just from the people yelling.
Even though I wasn't a fan, that was a really cool moment and I'm glad that I was able to see Hulk at his prime.

My first Live Wrestling show was Wrestle Mania 1 in MSG. We had seat right over where the wrestlers would come out. I can remember hitting The Iron Sheek in the head with an ice cube and he looked up at me and waved his fist in the air as he yelled obscenities at me. That was also the first night i saw a joint and fell in love with the smell of burning weed. Quite strange.
http://www.kent.wednet.edu/pcpow/questions/calc/reindeer7/sleigh.gifI crush the rush. I rule you fool.
The first time I actually went to a live event was at the New Haven Coliseum for a taping of Raw in January of 2k. We had the worst seats ever but it was also my brothers first time and he was sooooooo stoked so that was totally worth paying for the shitty seats.
I had pretty awesome seats at this past years king of the ring tho so that made up for it.

Summerslam in 98 at the theater at MSG. I couldn't get into the PPV but I saw it on CCTV and one of owen hart's last matches vs. ken shamrock.
that i'll never forget
I've been two a house show and the last two RAW's at MSG. Smackdown at MSG and at the providence civic center (now the dunkin donuts arena).
I'm not going to the Jan 7th Raw, on my 21st bday. I'll be in LA. :)
