Myalgia is a medical term for pain that originates in the muscles. I'm guessing this is what you're experiencing. Myalgias are a known after-effect of alcohol abuse (c'mon, drinking is USE, getting drunk is ABuse :wink:)

Basically a hangover is your body telling you that it didn't particularly like or appreciate what you did to it the night before.
