Pick up the helix and an at home kit and you can set the unit to record from 12-3 I usually listen to the first half live then listen to the recorded half on the drive home or at the house later

Eh, you're getting a promotion... you can afford to spring for an Audible.com subscription.
Each day (most of the time), the show is uploaded to the site and available for download by late afternoon / early evening the same day.
With a good connection, it takes 5 to 10 minutes to download, and all of the commercials are edited out. Just a full 2 hours and 40 minutes or so of Ron and Fez goodness.
I say "most of the time" because there were some problems after Pitsy left... but it looks like they've got someone to take care of it again. Lately, there are days when the show is uploaded before 5 p.m.

I drive a truck so I frequently get in and out of my vehicle and miss parts of the show. I recently bought the SkyFi3 from myradiostore.com. They have a special where you get the radio, a home kit, car kit and the mobile kit with the headphones that have a built-in antenna. It can record up to 10 hours of programming on its own, plus it takes a MicroSD card that can hold even more. It's really great. I think it's only $70 after a mail-in rebate on the site.

I also can only listen to the show on repeat unfortunately (company recently blocked online access). I have a question for folks who own portable XM recievers? I have heard they sometimes have issues with reception in buildings, etc. Has anyone had this issue? I'm in Seattle, WA on the 31st floor of a building. I'm in downtown so there are other tall buildings around but I am right near the southwest corner window so I am thinking I should be fine??

Steel framed buildings can block the satellite signal. But if you're in downtown Seattle, you should be able to get a terrestrial repeater's signal fine. I know in my office I cannot get a satellite signal at all, but the terrestrial signal is fine.
