Everything right now.

I took a "sick" day from work and drove all the way to the MVC for inspection. My car passed the safety portion and got "rejected" on the diagnostics part. My check engine light is on and some other thing that i have no idea about.

Now i have 45 days to get it fixed and go back, which is great because like, i don't have to pay my fucking tuition in a week or anything, so i have however much it's going to cost to fix this bullshit. On top of driving around with this embarrassing as fuck "rejected" sticker on my car, now i am paranoid that im going to get pulled over despite the fact that i was told i wouldn't be.

I'm also in the last phase of my summer classes that ends on the 13th but i haven't written the midterm paper yet, despite have the final paper and 2 more quizzes being taken within the next 2 weeks. That's OK though, ill relax for a week and a half before going back into the Fall/Spring terms and taking a shit-tton more classes so i can graduate with 2 Associates and then bounce to another school for the next 20 years of my fucking life.

Whoopdee-fucking-doo. I hate my life right now, i am filled to the brim with discontent, anger, resentment and bile.

Now i'm going to go and drown my face in a bag full of Doritos.

Besides christmas time, this is the most stressful time of the year for me also. I go boxing, and it helps out a lot.

Don't sweat the check engine light yet. Go to Auto Zone and they will scan your car and tell you the fault code. It might not be that big of a deal. They'll clear the code and you might be able to pass in a few days. Some cars have a memory and will require more time, or the light may come on in a day or so.

You should post the type of car because some of us might have a similiar experience. My wife's caravan IS A PAIN IN THE ASS. The light only comes on when it's time to get inspected.

most check engine lights that come on, but your car drives normally are emissions related.

which normally might be a failed 02 sensor, which can cost several hundred dollars from a dealership.....

or you could do what i did, remove the dashboard and disconnect the bulb that goes to the check engine light for inspection.

BUT the worst place you can take the car is the dealership for that issue...they'll charge you 200 bucks for a 02 sensor you can get for 40 at autozone.
