Fucking Canada. Why didn't anyone help the guy? Instead they all ran off the bus?!
"Everybody got off the bus. Me and a trucker that stopped and the Greyhound driver ran up to the door to maybe see if the guy was still alive or we could help or something like that," Caton said.
Little late there, hero.

That's what I was thinking... I can't even stand taking the bus into the city and it's a 20 minute ride.
This is a fucking nightmare!! I can't imagine how scary it would've been to be sitting in front of this guy, not knowing if you were next!
Maybe he thought it was a chicken.

The police received a call reporting the attack at 8:30 p.m. By the time they arrived at the scene, everyone except the knife-wielder and his victim had left the bus, Colwell said. The incident ended about 1:30 a.m.
It took them 5 hours to end this?
"There was no rage or anything. He was like a robot, stabbing the guy." "And when we all got up, we saw that the guy was cutting off the guy's head..."
He could have shot him and anally raped his corpse on a bus, and it wouldn't bother me as much as reading about a guy cold heartedly and repeatedly stabbing a guy (who was reportedly sleeping with his head against a window moments before), then coldy beheading the victim while the other passengers were still getting off of the bus.

Human beings will do anything, anything. I am convinced. That's why when all those beheadings started in Iraq it didn't bother me. A lot of people here were horrified, "Whaaaa, beheadings!" What, are you fucking surprised? Just one more form of extreme human behaviour. Besides, who cares about some mercenary civilian contractor from Oklahoma who gets his head cut off? Fuck 'em. Hey Jack, you don't want to get your head cut off? Stay the fuck in Oklahoma. They aint cuttin' of heads in Oklahoma, far as I know. But I do know this: you strap on a gun and go struttin' around some other mens country you better be ready for some action Jack. People are touchy about that sort of thing. And let me ask you this... this is a morale question, not retorical, I am looking for the answer: what is the morale difference between cuttin' of one guys head, or two, or three, of five or ten - and dropping a big bomb on a hospital and killing a whole bunch of sick kids? Has anybody in authority given you an explanation of the difference? Now, in case you're wondering why I have a certain interest, or fascination lets call it, with torture and beheadings and all of those things I have mentioned, is because each of these items reminds me in life over and over again what beasts we human beings really are. When you get right down to it human beings are nothing more than ordinary jungle beasts. Savages. No different from the Cro Magnon people who lived twenty five thousand years ago. No different. Our DNA hasn't changed substantially in a houndred thousand years. We're still operating out of the lower brain. The reptilian brain.Fight of flight. Kill or be killed. We like to think we've evolved and advanced because we can build a computer, fly an airplane, travel underwater, we can write a sonet, paint a painting, compose an opera. But you know something? We're barely out of the jungle on this planet. Barely out of the fucking jungle. What we are, is semi-civilized beasts, with baseball caps and automatic weapons.

I think it's really telling how you've got this RHCP officer, who is probably quite the badass if he's working as a Mountie, really really coming close to losing his shit when he has to radio in what he's seeing. You can tell he hasn't seen anything close to what he is witnessing. But that would be true for pretty much any cop, I'd imagine.
It does seem like the opening scene to a horror movie, like this dude was the first to get the zombie virus that will soon be sweeping the world. Except that scene is probably a little too hardcore for most horror movies.

I really enjoy that he was ordered to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
Do you really need to give a guy who just chopped off a stranger's head on a bus filled with people and then started eating him a psychiatric evaluation?
Well you never know. He could actually be pretty crazy

Bus beheading similar to Windigo phenomenon (http://cnews.canoe.ca/CNEWS/Features/2008/08/11/6413481-sun.html)
The Edmonton ethno-historian is one of the world's leading experts on Windigo phenomenon, and the recent horrific beheading and alleged cannibalism on a Greyhound bus bound for Winnipeg from Edmonton rocked him to his very core.
On July 20 -- just 10 days before the killing -- Li delivered copies of the Sun that contained an extensive interview with Carlson about his research into the Windigo, a terrifying creature in native mythology that has a ravenous appetite for human flesh. It could take possession of people and turn them into cannibalistic monsters.
The two-page feature talked about how, in the late 1800s and into the 20th century, Windigo "encounters" haunted communities across northern Alberta and resulted in dozens of gruesome deaths.
In one case, a Cree trapper named Swift Runner was hanged after admitting to killing and eating his wife, children, brother and mother in the woods northeast of Edmonton in the winter of 1878-79.
Prior to being charged with murder, he had suffered screaming fits and nightmares, which he attributed to being possessed by a Windigo.
"There are just too many parallels," he says.
"I can't say there's definite connection, but there are just too many coincidences.
"It's beyond eerie."

Only one person can handle the Wendigo, and he's the best there is at what he does:

Any word on whether these morons interrupted the funeral?
If they did, I hope they were arrested and placed in a cell with the beheading suspect.

I read that one group of the church was turned back, but someone from the group was quoted as saying another group made it in.
