To the chagrin of many of their partners, it is absolutely true that men get sleepy after ejaculation. The male brain releases a lot of hormones during orgasm, and one of these is a thing called prolactin. Prolactin injected into male mice makes them fall asleep almost immediately, and it's probably at least partially responsible for post-ejaculatory fatigue.

It's interesting that men produce 4 times more prolactin after sex than after masturbation. This might explain why men tend to fall asleep after sex, but not so much after jacking off.
