As my wife and are driving to Pennsylvania from Jersey yesterday Yes' "Long Distance Turnaround" comes on the generic NY classic rock station.
Usually I will quiclkly turn off any 70's progressive schlock rock.
For some reason I felt compelled to keep it on and not change the station.
Half way thru the 11 minute non-epic song I realized I'm still listening.
Why would I do this to myself?
Then I remembered listening to Blowhard talking about the struggle of his long distance relationship and Ron finding the funny by playing the stupid song.
So thanks Ronnie for letting me torture myself with bad music.
Anybody had bad songs become listenable because of a bit from the show?

Yes, yes...totally... I am way wit ya on this.
Insane fan of Ron B. singin along.... indeed.... the best when it's a great song, but yeah man, you are right.....
Cause these days you won't catch me turnin the radio dial if Paper Lace's, "The Night Chicago Died," would chance to come on... "IIII heard my mama cry, I heard her praaay the night Chicaaaago died!"
...and Ron only sang one line of that thing.... It's magic, I tell you!

Yes is pretty good.
I know one song he's ruined forever for me. "Satellite's gone way up to Mars..."
Has it?

Nice funny mod quotes - look at mine... they all get taken out of context and I really wind up looking like a fool.
