I'm wondering how this will go. In particular, I wonder if Ronnie will get him to open up or he'll just do the act.

Time change, Venue change, is Earl running XM?

Holy crap. The XM Studios were probably not made to hold that many people.

I thought it went really really well though, Mikey. Definitely intimate.

Why didn't you say hi? It was a an interesting Unmasked -- much different from the others. there was less discussion of the craft of comedy and the days when Cheech and Chong were together and more discussion of spirituality, Tommy Chong's time in prison, and the break-up and reunion of Cheech & Chong. Very interesting, albeit a little cramped in the XM Studios.

Did Earl smoke weed and/or Did Fez do an Acid Trip?
This was my 4th unmasked and I have to say it was the most interesting one I've been to. I do have to say that I was inspired by Tommy and no contact high needed. He may be the most optimistic person ever.

So how was Comix "already booked" and how bad are things going to be on-air tomorrow?

XM made a big deal about not wanting the R&F staff involved with the Unmaskeds. Who was responsible for this disaster? Had the wrong time, then changed the venue at the last minute and people with reserved tickets would possibly be locked out.
They are free shows, but people still need to arrange their schedule around them.

Shit. I'm sorry I didn't go even though it sounds like there was some confusion about venues. I would've loved to have seen him.

I'm not sure I'd recognize you, and I was just happy to get a seat. I wasn't moving.

My guest and I got to 14th and 8th around 1PM. We had some lunch and brews at a nice little pub on 14th between 7th and 8th. We showed up at Comix at 2:20 only to see just Dave standing there. I knew there was a problem (my first thought was that Tommy bailed). Dave informed us of the site move to the Sirius/XM studio. We caught the E train to 7th ave and 53rd and managed to get to the building by 2:45 and were able to get in. The gang handled everything incredibly well given the circumstances. We had to stand in the bleacher area (along the wall near HTG, in front of the guy who couldn't figure out how to turn his loud cell phone off.. Yeesh!). We were able to see into the studio pretty well despite the huge crowd, and they had the monitor on also, so we could see the action in the studio. The show was great. Tommy was extremely funny and very open (if not just a bit rambling). That jerk Jonathan Schwartz apparently started making noise just outside the studio during a very interesting part of the interview, which had Lilly, Pepper, Franklyn and Earl scrambling... Doesn't this clown see the huge crowd and the "On Air" lights all over the place?.. or perhaps he did it on purpose. I hope it didn't screw up the taping. The questions were very good although they seemed to be begging Sheepy to go up and he was very reluctant.
All-In-All The Entire Ron And Fez and Unmasked Crews deserve huge kudos for a job very well done. I can't wait to hear the finished product.

I thought it was pretty intense at times. I was sitting 1 row back from the front of the stage. Tommy would look through the audience as he spoke. When he was talking about his view on the universe his eyes just locked on me as I was looking at him. It was like he saw everyone as a crowd of individuals instead of as a crowd... if that makes sense. It just enhanced his answers.
And Ron was killing just before things started as he addressed everyone on the floor like we were a bunch of preschoolers waiting for teacher to read to us. Very cool.

I felt a connection to everything that man said. I actually relate to many of his responces and beliefs, as weird as that may sound.
I'm telling you. It's all about Unity :)
Loved his energy. One of the best unmasks ive been to as well. Nice to see you hosp.
