Hard Drive Crash..

Kind of a question that gets axed a lot...


But my hard drive crashed, lost all my music, which was substantial


My question is, is there anyway I can pull the stuff off my Ipod and put it back on my computer?

First things first; can you access your HD using external hookups? If you haven't been able to try, I wouldn't write it off completely yet.

Easiest way is to get an external hard drive enclosure, hook up the drive that is troublesome, and see if you can access your data. I have salvaged a ton of stuff that way, although I will admit it is not foolproof.

Ok...Now i ran that podutil, or tried to at least, and couldn't get it to run, even when i tried to put it in disk mode

Itunes transferred all my purchased stuff from my Pod back to my comp (that was really the most important stuff anyway) but I can't get the other stuff back on there
