Nowhere in the United States. It was one of the agreements the Mormon church made with the goverment when Utah was granted statehood. The people you see on Jerry Springer, etc. have marriages that are no officially recognized by the government.

It seems like such a great idea until you think about the deep personal connections you should have with ONE soulmate.

It's one of Mormonism's dirty little secrets (along with blatant racism). Although, all of the Old Testament heroes had at least 2 or more wives; Moses, King David, King Solomon, etc... Did that make them bad? I really don't see what the problem would be with it, but society governs our behaviour and thought processes. I also believe in population control, and in this day and age I think society's decision to abandon this way of life isn't such a bad idea after all.

NYDragon is correct. No state recognizes polygomy. There can be only one wife or husband at a time.

This is especially relevant in estate cases, where the decedent separated from his wife, and married another woman, before the divorce decree on the first marriage was fina.

i think its stupid thats its illegal.. i have dated married couples before and one time it became very serious.. we got an appartment together, worked together.. lived in a house as a 3 part unit.. it was a beautiful thing and would do it again (we broke up because we were never accepted in our red neck piece of shit back woods jersey town) but you really have no idea how much love you are capable of giving till you have a polygamous relatonship.. its amazing.the only thing that was kinda tough was coming in on a relationship that was already strong... but do advicate this kind of behavior

When you say ILLEGAL, you make it sound like Cristalnacht. I wouldn't call it illegal, but the government doesn't officially recognize it. Nobody is getting dragged out and beaten here. The only reason the government doesn't recognize it is for the reason HK stated above.
