How old are they?
traveling intercontinental you will obviously need a passport, but I have taken my son to Chicago and was not asked for any form of ID for him. He was just 2 at the time.

I would call the airline you are flying with and ask their restrictions. it seems that though regulations should be the same they may have separate rules.

I think just birth certificates would be fine.

passports are a good thing to have, even if they don't need it here.

Passports are a good idea but a time consuming proposition. Gotta give at least 3-4 weeks of time to process them plus you have to have both parents present when applying for them at say the post office. Or a notarized letter fromone parent if they can't be there etc. Plus childrens passports are only good for 5 years instead of 10 so it better be worth it ie multiple travel.

Ok. Wasn't sure what time they had. It works for us. Nice if you have to flee the country too.

I was going to say the same about the time consuming process of the passport application. They do have express but that is pricey and not necessary if just traveling within the US.

Actually my wife took care of it but I remember it being fairly quick and easy. It took two weeks and cost $50 at the post office. We headed out of the country earlier this year. Agree there's no need for a picture ID in the US tho. Have fun at Disney fry.
